I was reading a book on Maharana Pratap by Bhawan Singh Rana in Google books. There is read that Mewar and Marwar were at war in 1557. The timeline shown in the serial is I think 1557. Its also the time when Pratap gets married to Ajabde. A marriage treaty through Phool Kanwar seems unlikely though. Has anyone read the book by Brishti Bandopadhay? Does it enlighten on anything on Pratap's marriage with other women?
PS: I must say after reading this book, it seems that US was a bit of a womanizer and Lecher.😆 Quite contrary to the serial.

You are absolutely right cvs have completely distorted the history. Marwad mewar were at war during that time. And only much later did pratap as a political alliance. And ajab also died much later about 15 to 20 years of marriage but really don't know how cvs are going to distort the history because still now her younger sister is not born and there was a huge age difference between pratap and his 9th wife and only ajab son amar was close to pratap. Don't know what cvs will show

I dont think they will show Rattan though, because acoording to the age and timeline, she must have been born by now and already a toddler. I think Phool's character has Rattan's immaturity. I feel, Pratap should get married to Phool on insistence of Ajab to strengthen the ties with marwar and make Mewar a stronger nation. The whole thing about marrying her younger sister will be skipped I guess... instead she will ask him to take care of Phool and give her the place Ajabde occupied in Pratap's life, while on her death bed.

This thing about Phool's marriage is just too much to begin with. There is a significant gap between the two marriages. They dont get married before the birth of Amar Singh.

^^problem is nothing is clearly said about that in any books. Its said, Pratap started marrying the Rajput princesses in order to stop the Mughal alliances... this started after Jalal married Heer/Jodha Bai. Which was when Jalal was 20, so Pratap would be around 22, and added the fact that Phool was his 6th wife, so I am guess even more late... if only we cud get the birth date of Chanda Singh.
