And yesterday it was ridiculous how they showed BK failing to make out Pratap's tactics (like playing dead). And BK overpowered Pratap only when his sword fell, and the latter didn't attack since principled Rajputs don't attack unarmed persons while unprincipled Mughals have no hesitation in attacking unarmed adversary!
BK was merely watching Pratap slay soldiers and when he fought with him, he fought uselessly.
It's really wrong to show Rao Surtan so clownish, his and Mughals' soldiers so stupid and even Bairam Khan lacking in abilities compared to Pratap.
So a hardcore warrior like BK forgot tactics while Pratap, remembered his 30 minute training to ably fight BK!
This is an issue I have with all historicals. They make everyone foolish or incapable just to glorify the lead. I daresay even mythos these days have begun to undermine all others gods to glorify the one god on whom the serial is based. Don't tell me Mughals were useless and only Pratap was great or Parvati knows nothing unless she's channelised or guided by Mahadev or Akbar didn't know basics of connecting with masses till Jodha guided him!
All shows suffer such malaise. But sadly MP's taking it too far. And yesterday, the way Pratap chased Sheikhs with his sword it looked more like he was holding a danda and driving stray animals away than wielding a sword. It's hard to believe this is the same serial that showed proper battle and action scenes earlier but is resorting to gimmickry now.
