I am really surprised and curious as to why was Pratap , a small child then was considered such a threat to the Mughals. I mean Pratap has done lot of brave things but Bairam Khan , is he so afraid of Pratap or its just that they do not want to take any chances and kill the plant in it's growing stage before it becomes a strong tree. Well must say very far off thought plan . Something which the Kings at those times should have thought.
If only the Rajputana was united against the foreign invasion we would have never had Mughals or matter of fact any other invader looting Hindustan and depriving it of it's riches. I say Rajputana because it was the first province which was in the way in the journey to conquer the whole of India.
They is always a mole in the country and the Mughals utilised each and every mole in their mission to establish their rule all over India. The biggest hurdle they feel right now is Rajputana and more specifically Mewar, the biggest and strongest of them all. Hence to eliminate this threat they are targetting the Prince of Mewar, as he is the one whom they feel threatened by .
The King of Boondi Rao Sultan helps in this cause of the Mughals , his only weakness being woman which the Mughals supply in abundance to him , and he does not need more then that to sign a treaty with them to capture Pratap. They need to bring Pratap to Boondi what better way to do this then to open the gates of Boondi for an upcoming Puja for all of Rajputana including Mewar , the staunc enemy of Boondi . The king does it so as to fulfil his part of the agreement so that he can capture Pratap. He has come to know from the Mughals that Pratp can not bear injustice and atrocites on the people and this is what he does.
But alas the arrogant king has forgotten that it is not so easy to catch Pratap , because he is one shrewd person and knows to fight his way out , the king will be left hanging and will be truly insulted by Bairam khan for not completing his task. This will be the first defeat of the Mughals by the hands of Pratap in the line of many more to come.
