Mewar's ruler and father to the courageous Pratap, Uday Singh's first and foremost love is that for his nation. For the sake of Mewar's wellbeing, he accepts to rule under the subjugation of the Muslim invaders but is always secretly plotting ways to wage a war against them and free his motherland from their rule! A man of principals, he is highly respected by his people. Though he loves his son Pratap deeply, he does not express his feelingly openly so as not to be judged. But being a just ruler he gives Shakti to prove his mettle as his successor.

Udai Singh's eldest wife and Pratap's mother, Queen Jaivantabai is Mewar's Rajmata. Intelligent, loving and down to earth, she is the most mature queen. She is not just Pratap's mother but also a mentor and teacher who inspires Pratap by narrating him folktales to make him a brave and fearless Rajput, who will one day lead the kingdom of Mewar. Though Udai Singh respects gives her the importance of being the first queen, she is not loved by him as the young Queen Bhatiyani takes precedence over her in this respect. Yet she never complains and instead pours all her love and energy on her son Pratap to make him an able king.

Sajjabai is Udai Singh's second wife and mother to Shakti and Vikramdev. She is a simple and innocent woman who does not understand the politics of the palace. This makes it easier for other cunning people in the palace to manipulate her and override her wisdom. Incapable of secrecy she often lets out important news to wrong people.

Dhirbai Bhatiyani is the youngest and most beautiful young queen of Udai Singh. Udai Singh is head over heels in love with her but is unaware of her manipulative nature. She continuously plots against young Pratap so that she can eventually make her own son Jagmal the next heir to the throne. Her ultimate aim is to be Mewar's most important queen, Rajmata.

Born to queen Javantibai and king Udai Singh, prince Pratap is the eldest amongst his brothers. Extremely patriotic towards his motherland, he makes his place in everyone's heart by helping his father in fighting battles at a very young age. Though he is aware that his brother Shakti is jealous of him , he loves him back nonetheless. He is a boy with a heart of gold and fearless courage of a lion. Like his father, he too is determined to fight the foreign invaders and save his kingdom till his last breath.

Younger brother of kunwar pratap, born to Rani Sajjabai, very ambitious & brave.

Second son of sajjabai.

Saindas Chundawat, belonging to Chundawat clan, is the most important minister in Udai Singh's court who time and again helps the royal family of Mewar with his advice. A man with a mind and voice of his own, he is the most significant member in the state's administration.

Best friend of kunwar pratap, sacrificied himself while saving the future of mewar, kunar pratap.

Best fried of kunwar pratap after som, he met him in gurukul, he's intelligent n loves pratap n is always on his side.

Guru of kunwar pratap, brave, intelligent n added a lot in the bravery of kunwar pratap, guided him towards a correct way.

Dhai maa/foster mother of rana udai singh, saved him n sacrified her own son and now helping the bundi kids.

Afghan cruel ruler of mewar, got defeated in the war but always behind kunwar pratap, kunwar pratap killed him eventually.

Contract killer, sent by shams khan to kill pratap but eventually killed by guru raghvendra n pratap.

Bundi king, cruel, mad, torture his people, always interested in women.

Mughal king after humanyun, intelligent and brave, want to capture rajputana.

Congratulations to Team Maharana Pratap! I wish you all the best to become the most popular show in India and abroad. you all have made a state hero into a national hero again, its the misfortune of India that people dont value history neither to people care to know about it, but with this medium of TV and this great show it has made history popular! This show is doing a great thing by honouring the memory of the man who made the mughals lives miserable and fought for his motherland. His tactics were passed down to the Marathas who definitely weakened the mughal empire! God Bless! Ek Lingaji ki Jai! Mewad ki Jai! Maharana Pratap ki Jai! 👏👏👏
