Hi Guys,
During Thursdays Maha Episode they showed Shakti coming in Prataps room at night & telling him that Rana Udai making him sit next to him dose not mean that Udai will make Pratap the next king of Mewar. From the start they show Kunwar Shakti being jealous of his elder brother Pratap that he is more popular among the Nobles & even Rana Udai Singh sees Pratap as future king of Mewar, & Shakti always try to do better than Pratap.
Guys according to history Emperor Akbar in his efforts to expand the Mughul Empire trys many ways to capture Rajputana kingdoms he not only trys to take over kingdoms by force but in some cases trys to befriend the rajput kings, mostly all rajput kingdoms except Mewar accept Akbar s friend & also as emperor of India. But Mewar under Maharana Pratap sticks to its stand of non alignment with Mughuls in order to keep its independence intact. Its said in history that even couple of Prataps own brothers join Akbar s service & Shakti is said to be one of them.
Like the way it is shown in the serial that Shakti is against Pratap from early childhood, & latter with Rani Bhatiyani pitching for candidature of her son & with nobels choosing Pratap, & with seeing himself getting no chance to stake claim to the throne of Mewar , Shakti gets frustrated & joins with Akbar to take revenge on his own brothers & from his own mother land.
