Man Singh is worried for the security of the princes and prays to God so that he can manage a safe passage for them through the Afghan borders. They approach the borders where they are stopped by the Afghan guards who check his identity. When they try to check the carts, Man Singh cooks up an excuse saying that the cart is carrying grains and the guards let them go when he tells them that he is related to Rana Udhay Singh. Kunwar Shakti and Kunwar Vikram had woke up by now and wonder where Pratap is. They hear the commotion outside and Shakti foolishly makes fun of the soldiers from the window which doesn't go unnoticed by them. They decide to inform Shamsh Khan about it. Man Singh manages to get the passage and proceeds to check the princes after reaching a secured place. He is shocked to see Pratap missing and sends his guards to search for him.
When Shamsh Khan is informed of this incident, he gets furious and rushes to check the weapons gifted by Udhay Singh. He is bewildered to see them all rotten and useless after being soaked in lime juice for two days and realized that he had been fooled all along. He gets mad and decides to declare war.
Rani Bhatiyani dresses up Udhay Singh and again request him to let her participate in jauhar. Udhay Singh pacifies her for Pratap and her unborn child's sake. A messenger arrives with a covered plate and a message for Udhay Singh – it's a goat's head along with a message from Shamsh Khan, declaring war.
Jayawanta Bai is with Sajjabai, she had asked her maids to get her wedding attire ready for the jauhar. She feels proud and happy to be able to lay down her life for Rana ji and Mewar's sake and wishes to adorn herself with her wedding attire for the occasion. But Sajjabai breaks down.. she didn't find any reason to rejoice on her death, no matter whatever the reason might be. A maid brings her Pratap's turban found near her room's window. Jayawanta Bai gets emotional..her instincts were right, it was Pratap after all. Rani Bhatiyani rushes in with the news of the war declared than expected. Jayawanta Bai tells them that it doesn't matter when the war starts, she's confident of Ranaji's win and in the unfortunate case that it doesn't happen, then all Rajput ladies are ready for jauhar.
All soldiers assemble in the field, ready for the war. Rana Raj Bahadur delivers a vocal tonic, asking them to sacrifice their lives for the sake of their soil. All hail him and march out. Pratap comes last and is stopped by Raj Bahadur, who rightly guesses that he's a kid and refuses to let him join them for being underage for war. Pratap tries to convince him in every possible way for Raj Bahadur threatens to imprison him and leaves the place.
The army march towards the battle field with Rana Raj Bahadur leading them on horseback. Suddenly Pratap is seen approaching them on foot, running with all his might. He soon catches up Raj Bahadur's horse, much to his surprise and keeps up with him when he bids the horse to run faster. Suddenly he steps into a pit and loses his balance. Raj Bahadur jumps down from horseback to catch him, visibly impressed at the young boy and ask him his identity – he certainly cant be the son of an ordinary man. Pratap answers that he's the son of Rana Udhay Singh, king of Mewar and mentally smacks himself the next moment for blurting out the truth.
