Hi friends...

Just one query... If our dear jenny wud not have been playing "MAYA", would the people have reacted in the same way for this character?... because if saanjh is wrong that doesnt make maya right... but when jennifer is there, then mostly everybody will sympathise with her character.

Most of the people who like Saanjh have always praised Jennifer for her acting skills and there are many who are Jen fans. Few find it hard to like Jen coz she is playing Maya. Few like Maya for being Maya n few like Maya coz she is brilliantly played by Jen. So, there are different permutations n combinations, we just can't generalise.

Every fan group has nuisance creators also like d person above.

Months ago, there was a similar thread like this. Yes, if saanjh is wrong that does not make Maya right. It is also the other way round. In other words, if Maya is wrong it does not make Saanjh or others right. I am not saying this to justify Maya though I can't hate her. Everyone are responsible for their actions and have to carry their burden.

Jennifer is playing Maya's role perfectly. If she was given Saanjh's role she would have played even that role with perfection but I can't imagine Aneri playing Maya's role.

I personally do not support Maya's character just because Jennifer plays the role. Supporting an actor is very much different from supporting a role. It's you POV that Maya is cruel, she is acting nuts, she is sadistic or whatever you wanna add. But no one looks into her past and analyze what could have made her so much cruel? What could have made her this rigid? What could have made her keep her guards so high?

NO, nobody thinks of it. What everybody is concerned is wat she is doing now and how she acts now. It doest goes that way. Everyone has a past and everyone has scars. But few people have deep scars that cannot be healed in a lifetime.

I've been here screaming that depression is not a mental illness. But no one agreed and always have seen me as a Jennifer fan and not a practical thinker. I swear depression doesn't make one a mentally ill patient.

So is Parineeti's character from Hasse Tho Passe a mentally ill character? Think of it and stop criticizing Maya for her deeds.

You know what problem do we have? If the same character was played by any male, we would have definitely loved him to the core. But as a lady is playing the role we are refusing to accept her.

I do not blame individuals. I blame the way we are brought up and the mentality we live with. We are girls/women and we need to know how to suppress our feelings and less show it to the world. Such mentality and ideologies have created Maya and nothing else.

I have no shame in admitting that I am in love with Maya more than Jennifer. I agree the actress slays it on screen, but not everyone is gifted to look deep into the wounds of others. Glad I'm blessed with it.

I was not a Jennifer fan before, but her character and acting as Maya made me Jennifer's fan...but still i am not a crazy fan girl but i find her way way better than other television actresses.

Liking Maya's character have so many reasons including jennfer's acting and beauty. Others are like Maya's looks, style, attitude, her genius mind, her plans and plotting, the way she execute them, the way she has control on every situations, her successful personality in business world being a young girl... it's just I find her character interesting after getting bored with the same Sati savitri Saas bahu type tv characters, her character being a main female lead is something different from others...obviously her crimes can not be justified...even i dnt justify her crimes with the words like mental or phycopath...i think no pagal or mentally disturb person so much mind to play the mind games with others...I dnt know what Maya is mental or suffering any other disorder or she is this type naturally without any disorder...but the fact amuses me that one girl is playing with mind of so many people, controlling their life...How???

and how can other people around her can be so dumb to be manipulated by her...like hume koi jaise ghumayega waise ghum jaayenge hum, humare paas dimag ni hai kya😆 ya chote se bacche hai😕 ki manipulate ho gaye zara zara si baat pe...that's why i find other characters pagal befavkuf in this show...so I am always excited and curious to see Maya's character that what will she do now, how can she manage this situation now, how will she manipulate situation, how will she control the person now and at what extent she can go to arrange things in her favor as per her wish...this is it.

Other actor/actress in this show have very low acting skills in comparison with Jennifer/Maya, she is the main highlight in this show which attracted me.

Anyone should not have any offence if I enjoy Maya...It's not a crime...it's my POV and my interest to be entertained.

You are married and your husband is constantly meeting with his friend who has a crush on him. You are in a position to witness their hugs, play, laughter, a special bond and especially you learn that he runs into her when he is in trouble. And he says she understands him more and she won't judge him. He plays holi and all sort of festival with her when you are just an onlooker here. He wants to protect her and he loves her as a friend and it goes on.

Will you accept this relationship? Will you be happy with another woman to do touchy-touchy with your spouse? Would you be happy to see your husband's arm always on another woman?

No woman would like that and here it's Maya. The girl who has always witnessed bitter truth in her life. She witnessed her own father cheat. You mean to say Sanjh is a saint? To perform all sort of nasty things with a married man is a part of being a saint? Even a normal woman would know her limits and knows to give distance.

Sanjh did what I expected in initial days of marriage. But not after that. She constantly made Maya feel depressed by just sticking onto Arjun.

Maya was well aware of Saanjh-Arjun relationship from the very beginning its not like they kept her in the dark. They behaved the same way as they would have done in their childhood days.

It was Maya who pushed them together manipulating them time and time again, instead of having a mature talk about her insecurities.

Did she ever tell them she had a problem with their relationship NO

If she had they would have listened they would have placed her comfort above everything else but no instead she plotted the whole fake miscarriage drama and split them apart.

When Saanjh moved away from her life was she happy, NO she put Samaya behind Saanjh.

The same Samaya whom she threw flying kisses at and who marked her bodies with love bites.

Its not okay for Saanjh to touch Arjun.

But Maya can go to a hotel room alone to spend Suhag raat with her ex boyfriend for all she wants.

I hardly watch Indian TV serials because most of them are the saas bahu ones or the leading lady is portrayed as a doormat with no say in front of anyone.

I started liking Jennifer since Saraswatichandra. I tuned into this show by chance and liked it because it was different and it was not a saas bahu serial. I also watched a few Channel V serials like Sadda Haq (due to the engineering college background). I also watched the short serial Everest.

I am not a TV buff and European football is my main interest on TV.

I came to know about Beyhadh during this time last year and since planned to watch it because of Jennifer only and no one else. But it slipped my mind and I started to watch it about a month after it started when I came to know from a friend's Facebook post..

I really like Jennifer's brilliant portrayal of Maya and since in the beginning she was grey I started liking Maya. From the middle of season 2 Maya's shade turned darker and she resorted to doing bad deeds but since I found reasons enough for her bad deeds I am still unable to dislike Maya even though I do not condone her bad deeds. I really wish she didn't turn a killer. Yeah the main reason for watching Beyhadh is Jennifer and I probably would not have watched the show if she was not in it.

A show and a character enter our hearts only due to the brilliant portrayals by the actors concerned and bad acting makes the character and the show less likable.

Depression is a mental illness but when we in society think of mental illness our thoughts go straight to Pagalpan and stuff like that. But Depression is a condition that effects the mind therefore it is a mental illness. We just need to change our perception around it.

We need to recognise the help that is provided and help people suffering with depression just as we would treat any other disease.

If the character that plays Maya would have been played by a guy we would have hated him more than love him. He already exist we call him Ashwin.

The only reason Maya is roaming scotch free without much investigation is because she is playing the victim card of being a women.No matter what the society will blame Arjun and not Maya.
