Why I liked today's episode

1. I can't believe I am saying this, but for the first time I was able to ''feel'' for Arjun.. I could connect with his character and the situation he is in.. Kushal has never impressed me as an actor and according to me he still is the weakest link in the show.. ( strictly my opinion ) but today I found him good.. Even in his scene with Saanjh, I could relate to him.. she knows which buttons to press to get a reaction .. his duties as a son, his failure to see the truth and his inability to solve the crisis despite of being in it for such a long time.. she threw everything at him.. even called him Maya's kutta to wake him up from his slumber..I wish she had cut him some slack there.. it wasn't his idea to keep Vandana in his house.. again not his idea to play Sherlock Holmes in Maya's den.. he made neither of the decisions but got blasted for the games the women in his life had been playing behind his back..

One thing always irked me was people calling Arjun failure as son just because he did not give rights to Vandana. But nobody saw the immense respect he held for Vandana in his heart, all people did was forcing to bind in a relationship which he was not comfortable with. And don't even get me started on Saanjh because I will not waste time on that annoying creature as she is majorly reason for Arjun's misery after Maya. I don't know how will Cvs get rid of Maya's insecurities of trusting the person she loves though I know it has been really hard for her.

I don't think he knows about the full extent of Maya trapping Ayaan. No, he thinks Maya is purely innocent in the rape fiasco. But he reacted violently today only because Maya had hurt Vandy.

2. Today for the first time eversince season 2 started, I was able to somewhat understand Arjun.. what he is and has been going through and most importantly why.. though still a lot of questions are left unanswered , the topmost being why not consider getting Maya proper medical help for her condition if he knows she's ''pagal''..that she is ''abnormal''.

(i) He loves Maya.. he may not be able to love her the way he wants or she wants but he still loves her..his feelings are clouded with self-doubts, fear, confusion and the frustration of having to choose between Maya and his family/friends but he cares for her deep enough to have stayed in the marriage this long despite of so many issues..One of the many reasons Arjun could not leave Maya in all these years is because he loves her.. Maya's manipulations and all, her fall back plan of threatening to get him arrested on charges of marital abuse, if her suicide attempts etc don't work.. but he stayed also because he feels for her..

(ii) He knows Maya's condition.. he is not remotely unaware of her, what she is capable of, her feelings, her insecurities.. Maya buri nahi hai ma..he says that despite of knowing that she trapped Ayaan.. and despite of everything she has been doing to him.. that's something!

(iii) It was wrong on Arjun's part to support Maya in the Ayaan case because he practically aided in ruining an innocent young man's life.. his own brother and if despite of that Maya doesn't trust him and has to go to this extent to keep him with her, then I pity her more than ever..

Arjun was right..'' Maya ko pyar nahi wafadari chahiye''.. and Arjun has to prove that everyday, 24*7*365.. Love and trust go hand in hand.. they should..Where there is love, there should be trust.. There should be no snooping, stalking and CCTV cameras Maya.. I wonder if she was always like this or part of the story is still untold- the three years of their marriage?

I was happy that Arjun showed Maya the mirror today when he first confronted her in the hall.. I loved all the dialogues in that scene.. but Maya O Maya! she knows how to twist things to her advantage.. however she is not as invincible as she thinks she is.. Vandana is slowly but surely unraveling her secrets, today the whole thrashing with the belt drama behind closed doors and tomorrow the phone call..

Completely agree with your post. I had always appreciated arjun and never saw him as spineless. It's just that he was always weak in decision making and too simple to understand manipulations.

So he likes Maya. Does it even make any sense that he loves Maya despite knowing what all she's capable of? If he does, he shouldn't have ranted about her to his brother.😆

Yeah, this was his best performance in the whole show so far, especially his scene with Vandy!

I always believed Arjun does love Maya at least cares for her .. thats one reason for him to stay with her even now. It can't be just money/ambition. Glad that finally Kushal's acting was convincing enough to show that point properly.

Arjun's mistake is he can't handle people around him. His wife, mother Saanjh, Ayan. He loves all of them but to side with one, ends up doing wrong with other.

He chose to support Maya as it's the best way to keep everyone safe if not happy. Maya won't harm herself or anyone else. But as u said even after this Maya puts controls on him doesn't trust him.

But yes why he didn't go medical way to treat her is still a big question

I liked the epi for another reason is the way Maya speaks lies after lies with so much of confidence n conviction that it appears as if she's speaking the truth! This reveals a lot abt her character, actually puts many of her acts into question as in where she was genuine n where she wasn't.

Agree with u on this. I also liked his performance today. Poor arjun. His dialogs were so apt. I was cheering when he shouting at maya. But maya just cannot accept mistakes. No humans are perfect. Why she has to hit herself to prove her point and to what extent. Just ask apology that's it.
