My view on current track of Beyhadh

A person who advises you to not drink and eat healthy food and wear fine clothes is suffocating..? And a family who let him get away with everything and a brother who let him drink are good people..? You know whatever Maya does in this serial is very wrong and if others did the same then it's treated like the epitome of selflessness and goodness.. Seriously, the hypocrisy of this serial is getting on my nerves.. If all it took was a dance and some sorry to make them forgive him then Maya too pole danced and said sorry, can't he forgive Maya..?

It's as if Maya is totally different after the leap.. She was never a control freak before this leap... And she believed him completely before the leap, After the leap there are so many contradiction in her character... She didn't allow too much romance before marriage and after leap they're portraying her like this... They didn't show her controlling what Jhanvi ate or wore... Ugh... Arjun was and never will be a right partner for anyone yet alone Maya...

Even if Maya didn't let him patch up with his family, he should at least kept track of how they're doing and even should have provided them money somehow... He's such a self centered person...

He didn't even care about them for three years and all of a sudden after meeting Saanjh and Ayan, he shows such concern that's hardly believable.. I never liked his character.. I lost anything i had for him during Maya's marriage where he stood like an idiot in situations he needed to speak and spoke a lot after everything was finished..

I don't know what he call this life is suffocation..? I agree as someone posted about parents.. My parents too do this... eat this, eat that, Ask me where am I every hour if i went outside, What dress i wear, which persons I associate with, etc... I don't feel suffocated by it and i can understand their concern and fear yet I react accordingly and even manage to find my lone, freedom time in that... I don't leave them no matter how hard they're... Because I love them...

Arjun just want to flirt with every beautiful girl, go to parties and tour and enjoy the life.. There's an age for that... What is he, A teenager..? Seriously he has to grow up along with advising the same to Ayan and Saanjh...

I know the camera thing is wrong but what is he afraid of, why does he feel irritated when there is nothing to hide..? When now a days most of us spend our time in camera, in office, in public places, in flat... There are even security cameras in home of some people I know...

Arjun could escape the cctv camera's view and go to his family and even at the first episode he escaped the camera's view... Why didn't he do that and file a divorce notice, why didn't he go and eat his favourite food once in a while.? He was eating as if Maya starved him.. He rebelled against her possessiveness by giving himself pain... Why can't he rebel by refusing to go to Maya's office..? Why can't he stop using Maya's expenses..? And he was angry with Maya for not telling about Aayan's engagement, Why does he gets angry when he wants freedom from Maya, then why expect her to tell him about things... He didn't even cared enough about his brother to keep track of him... He is not a toy whose strings are in the hand of Maya... He didn't trust his family and his best friend... That was all him... Then why blame Maya alone for separating him from his family... He has to realize as much as Maya's faults it's also his and his family's fault for the rift between them...

Seriously Saanjh forgave him just like that then why didn't she do it before three years..?. Arjun didn't even look back at his family... Saanjh's feelings are not selfless and innocent as some people say, I will call that lack of self respect and let her friend do whatever he can as long as he's with her and with his family... She's no better than Jhanvi who couldn't get over Ashwin... Did she forgot the slap and humiliation that easily..? Is pining after a married man is what people call selfless love now a days..? The holi sequence was horrible.. If Arjun and Saanjh don't know what loyalty means, they should learn it from Maya..

No one really cared or asked Maya, how is she..?How is her married life with Arjun, genuinely... Everyone just fawn over Arjun as if he's the angel escaped from hell..? As a mother in law she noticed Maya's behaviour and even had suspicions, even Saanjh had suspicions... Any one person stopped and wondered about Maya's condition..? Did anyone of them genuinely cared about her..? Saanjh was quick to conclude her as mental and went to Arjun to stop the marriage.. When Maya patched up Vandana and Arjun, Vandana seemed more worried about Maya patching up Arjun with her than being happy about it... And if saanjh does that then she's the epitome of goodness... When they're portrayed as such good and innocent people why didn't they get help to Maya..?

It is better to allow her committing suicide than killing her slowly... If Maya one day realized and came out of the illusion that Arjun doesn't love her anymore, her heart will break into pieces which was already in pieces from childhood...

Just tolerating this nonsense and hypocrisy for Maya alone.. I hope they don't show a tragic ending for her... If they did then it's no better than other goody goody heroine and saas bahu shows.. A mentally unstable person can be treated and they too have every right to receive care and love...

Maya seems more mature and normal in this story than the so called normal self-proclaimed bhagvan people like Vandana, saanjh, Ayaan and Saanjh... I hate every character in this except Maya...

She at least knows she's bad and not correct... All the others are thinking of themselves as God's gift to the world when they themselves has good and bad both sides in them...

Love Maya... I admire her... I can't help but fascinated with this character even if it has many faults... I guess credit goes to Jennifer for portraying this character so beautifully and intensely..

You said some of the double standards shown in the show by the characters. Only maya's flaws are highlighted while others worse flaws and sometimes evil and crimes are subtly hidden or/and not made so obvious. That's why I can't connect or sympathize with any of the character in this show other than that Maya because no matter what she does, other in comparison do so much worse that she looks like saint or saner and I actually can't help but support her to give back to such people. Whether it was Vandana torture on her, we were all so annoyed at vandana that whatever maya would do to her she would've been supported. Then Saanjh acting like s**t, crossing all limits putting holI first on married man, meeting him acting late nights, trying to kiss him and other nonsense that whatever maya did later felt like something small to what Saanjh did.

Thats why I said Maya waa never wrong. U only feel a relationship as suffocation if u dont love n if he dint love then he shouldnt have proposed n married n ya even promised.. n now he wants freedom? What he wants is immature enjoyment.. thats it. He is n never ll be perfect for Maya. All sympathy towards Maya onlyy...

Completely agree with u. Story writer gone mad & why 2 show mentally ill person can't be treated bt I think main storyline is 2 show Maya as a negative character any ways it's looks like crap bez there's no sensibility & no logic only Jennifer's acting is the best thing.

This is a much-needed post. Arjun is basically selfish & self-centered. He wants the best from both the worlds. Some say that freedom is your birthright to which I agree but it is accompanied with responsibilities.

Superb post...i agree with each and every word...i love Maya and admire her...Jaisi bhi h out of the world hai...hats off to Jennifer for playing this character with such grace
