I think he must have found some proofs in maya's bedroom, like anti depression pills or something related to her past and must have found out the truth.

Maybe maya is not a woman but a cross dresser.The way arjun pushed maya at the party it seems like he was treating her like a he. Honestly speaking Arjun as a guy is a failure when it comes to relationships. He was always like this. he wanted to live a life like a free bird with all the luxuries. But we need to compromise on one thing or the other. My mum feels bad for him though 😆
Coming to your question I feel he is feeling suffocated being watched all the time and seeing the same faces all day.
It could have been better if maya was given a chance by Vandana to see if she actually changed or just pretending
