While we wait for Samay to tell us the story of hate. . .
"Arre! you are back again! What new story? Don't tell me, Madhav . . . Mahabharat . . . No more bakwas this time, khabardar!"
"No yaar! Not really! True, I was just trying to spice it up, last time, but no malaise, trust me! But still, I feel that end game will be just same! Good chance that Maya will reunite with her true friend on one side while Arjun with his true ... sorry ... pure friend ... er ...love, on the other side! This could turn out to be final climax scene of last episode in the show. Interestingly, we saw the same thing in the opening scene of Episode 1! And what about closing scene of final episode in season 1, that just ended a few days back! The CVs are really the ones now obsessed with Maya sentiments' . . . I mean God Maya & mortal maya moments' every time, they start or end a season!"
"Hell with your predictions! We don't want any of it! We are losing our sleep over the fate' of our beloved maya! So chup!"
"Oh! calm down, my friend! You see, one man's food is another's poison and vice versa! If you think, ArYa's junoon makes you happy, it could very well prove to be their grave pain! Likewise, Maya's redemption from her obsessive self over Arjun -a true and final salvation in the courts of Lord Ganesh ji (As I said elsewhere, courts of society can never give her justice!) when he delivers His justice, that will be her true sukoon . . . an elusive peace she needed most! The troubled and tortured soul gets liberated from moh maya' & immortalized in our hearts & minds forever. She attains eternal peace! Don't get upset! You know & I know that everyone will die one day! Does it really bother us or stops us living our happy life? No... na, we don't give a damn to this certainty of our real life! Then why so much fuss about maya & her end? Just enjoy day-to day's developments and keep smiling! If you care to applaud/compliment hard working cast & crew, that will be still great! That is the way to go!"
"Hmmm... It will be still difficult for me, but why can't they simply give us a dream ending! Maya & Arjun together happily lived ever after!"
"They did so, I believe! That was precisely the end of their story when season one closed! For fantasy seekers, season one is the answer! For believers in reality, life goes on beyond season one! And welcome to season 2"!
"I see the point, by the way you were talking about new guy-Samay', isn't it? What is he up to? What is the hate story you are talking about?"
"Actually, I did not mean that! What I was about to say was that we wait for Samay ... er... time - you see -I really meant that time only will tell us what happened in the intervening 3 years, as more episodes get churned out in our TVs over time!"
"Oh come on! trash your silly jokes, heaven's sake! And tell us why so much hate in Maya-Arjun's married life? Will new guy Samay/Saanjh combo dig-up the truth? And honestly, I have no faith in any of these guys! For example, the Inspector chap is still investigating or what? What a pathetic criminal investigation of murder mystery! Is it not going on for over three years, now? You tell me if you know it really, the reasons for hate in their life!"
Ok! Granted! So let us start our investigation right away! The genesis of new-found hate in their life!
What was the situation when we left ArYa at the end of season 1. Happy Maya! Happy looking (I think so!) Arjun! No obstacles of whatsoever in their path! No nosy/irritating members of family around and importantly that obnoxious/omnipresent & a potential danger called BFF completely banished from their life!
Only those two- just two of them, a loving newly married couple in their own little world!
Wah! wah! what a way to start a romantic/fairy-tale love life, yaar! A dream come true, isn't it?!
Alas, what do we now witness when we meet them after 3 years! A warring couple &, so much pain, spewing venom & hate and what not?
Oh God what is happening here?! How love turned into hate?!!
There it goes ... I hear a bell ringing! Do you?
Hadh se jyada ... etc ... etc ... ,Pyar bhi nahi!
A very familiar & oft heard tagline of their Beyhadh story! Nothing is good if it exceeds limit, even love is no exception!
Yes! we heard about law of diminishing returns, in economics but does it work in social life too?
Beyhadh story tells us even love is not good when it takes beyhadh proportions! And by the way, did they not treat love as some kind of tradable commodity! Maya- the manipulator- bought over Arjun's love, in a way a normal person may not wish to bond with! Arjun is no saint-the materialistic guy fell for her when things came on platter so easily without any sweat! A deal is made between them without trust or conviction, really! And when the physical charms started fading after honeymoon period, reality sank in! The absence of any challenge/threats. in their life made things even worse & very boring!
Maya' pyar is unlimited and in abundance! An oversupply of love has now saturated Arjun's demand for her!
That is about it!
Is this what happens in every one's married life? Not, if the love is based on genuine care, conviction & trust. Moreover, there will be other persons around, so living does not get to become monotonous! More importantly it is not obsessive/beyhadh levels in normal persons' life.
So we have the clues! Arjun hates Maya as her love is not having any value, oh no! it is still worse! It just turned out to be negative in value! Very disgusting! He is suffocating and just wants to run away from her!
Why is Maya not realizing this? Because, she is not a normal person! No logic or rationality works for her when she gets into obsessive mode! The more Arjun gets desperate & wants to run away, the more she gets obsessed with him. She will follow him like his shadow! There is no place for him to run or hide! She will not let him go, come what may! So much, for her sense of insecurity!
But what if she gets a new option, say, Samay tries to woo her, sensing an opportunity to intervene in this relationship mess? She will annihilate him! Period. For that matter, if anybody dares to come in between Maya & Arjun, their fate will be sealed! A girl who gave up her true friend in the lake, for the sake of her exclusive relationship with Arjun, no one (other than Arjun) belonging to this world will matter!
Her ties with Arjun can be broken only if one of them gives up their life!
Does Arjun understand this? Or his reasoning has failed him already! One has no idea! But we know it for sure, he is enslaved in the web of Maya's obsession! He is a despo, now! If he softens and tends to his wife, he will only get pained by all familiar, unwanted, disgusting, no-value, over-dose of love from Maya. If he rejects or rebels her, she will still confront him with more obsession. What to do?
Arjun is now a victim of Maya's pane ka Zid! Not Pyar! Love brings happiness not hatred, you see!
Isn't Maya the original victim? True! If Maya is victim of her past, Arjun is her present victim, needing help!
Who is to blame for this situation? Who will bail him out? Will Saanjh ever come to know her erstwhile BFF's precarious situation?
Is it possible to rescue Arjun from this mortal danger?, really? Lots of questions!!
Aur jaane ke liye ,dekthe rahiye the one and only show Beyhadh on SONY TV at 9 PM on week days!
