this step of Jahnvi shows the reality of Maya's childhood,the only thing that little child has seen was manipulation,people changing colors according to the need.Every single thing/person in Maya's world was fake and greedy,nobody loved her.

May be becoz of this nature of Jahnvi her father gave his property to Maya instead of her.It is safe to assume that he was the only person who doesn't use to fake his love and after his death Maya had nobody to look upto.

The only person on her side is Arjun.

@incredible you told it correct. Nobody loved her. She is afraid to lose people she care about as they dont care about her and hence to keep them she manipulates.
