Prediction for future story...

This is my prediction for the future storyline, assuming that the CVs don't intend to make Maya a full blown psycho villain.

Maya went to threaten the pundit after his predictions. She might have even threatened him with death for all we know, but din't actually kill him. The pundit died of a heart attack either because he was scared by Maya's threat or maybe he already was sick and just died of natural causes.

Saanjh finds maya earrings but does not suspect anything yet. When Saanjh tells Maya and Arjun about the pandit's death Maya is secretly happy / relieved because she was scared that the pandit might ruin her relationship with Arjun. Maybe Saanjh sees this expression of Maya.

Once they are back in Mumbai Ashwin will try and use Saanjh against Maya and Arjun. As per spoilers apparently Ashwin and Saanjh will get together to reveal Maya's secret to Arjun. So what I think will happen is that Ashwin will tell Saanjh about Maya's past and will pain Maya as a villain in his version of the story. Saanjh will ofcourse believe it. Maybe she will put everything together and come to the conclusion that Maya killed the pandit. She will try to prove that to Arjun by using Maya's earings as proof.

I think we will then have the struggle of Saanjh +Ashwin trying to break Arjun and Maya by proving that Maya is crazy.

What do you guys think?

PS: All this will be meaningless if Maya really is the murderer and is supposed to be the villain of the show.
