Arjun's mother

I know many of you all are probably going to bash me for this but I don't know why I just can't digest Arjun's mother. I used to like her initially but from the last few weeks, I've started disliking her. Not because she doesn't want ArYa but because she doesn't want Arjun to live his life his way. Whether or not, Arjun will date Maya, that's completely his decision. Its his life and he can decide it for his own. I don't get why Vandana keeps babbling the same thing to him everyday. Okay I know she likes Saanjh and wants Arjun to be with her but she is trying to force him for that. Its his life and he has the right to decide with whom he wants to stay. Not only Vandana but also Saanjh's mother. They are basically forcing him to fall in love with Saanjh by hook or by crook. If he is to fall in love with her, he'll eventually end up falling for her one day. Nobody needs to do anything for that. I don't resist the fact that Maya is also doing the same thing but she is supposed to be that way. Its what the character of "MAYA" is all about, the obsession. She was introduced to us that way. Even Saanjh is right in her place. However, I do sometimes feel that she doesn't want Arjun to belong to anyone else but her. Basically, none of the girls believe in "If you love him, let him go. If he comes back, he's yours". Both of them believe in "Want him? Grab him and don't let him go." Lol. No offence though. Completely my opinion. Not to hurt anyone. 😉

Saanjh is no different. She also doesn't want Arjun to get close to another woman. 😃

Thats what I have been ranting from long time. I used to have sympathy for her initially but I kinda dislike her for forcing the decision to Arjun. We know as a mother she is worried about Arjun but he needs to learn his own lesson. If she does not let him fall then he will never realize her value or anybody else. Its high time she should free him to see the world and understand the society. The only thing irks me is she is ruining Saanjh and Arjun's lives and unintentionally creating rift between their friendship.

That's irritating. Worrying about her son is a different thing, but continuously poking her nose in his personal matters is just irritating sometimes. She should let him decide his own fate.

Yes. Right now, she's being selfish. She's only seeing the situation through Saanjh's point of view. But she has to analyse the same from Arjun's view as well. She has to let him decide what he wants to do and whom he wants in his life. She has to understand that as of now, he is not in love with Saanjh and forcing him is a bad idea.

Exactly my point! People say Maya is obsessive, psycho and all that but she was introduced to us like that in the very beginning itself. If she suddenly changes her attitude, it would be indigestible. And if Arjun cuts all ties with his mother, they will blame Maya for that. Vandana herself is creating distances between them by not giving him enough space.

I agree. She is very boring and predictable now. Always blabbering the same thing like parrot. I don't know what happened to that angle where she was trying to make a place in Arjun's heart.
