I think the smile was because Maya kept screaming to kappa that there is no one in the world for her except for her mother but right there in front of bappa she finds a strong emotional support from the guy she loves and probably saw it as a sign that she's not fully alone in this world. She was at peace after that and I loved it.

My favorite scene was arjun being the voice of reason by forcing Maya to see how badly her mom needed to go to the hospital.

And of course the hug it was so different and intimate.

Looking forward to the future episode the story has truly begun now.
