Actually I have a writer friend.. and he was saying that writers of TV shows generally look for show longetivity if its infinite series.. so then they give too many twists and turns and draw a web and then they make many episodes to untangle all the twists.. same way they layer the characters and make then conflicting to match the same so they can run the serial really long..
But for finite shows they do conflict too much.. they make strong characters and go according to the story only.. .
