But then all the sources are screaming that Maya was in love with MJ. Even the promos say that. Anyway, we have to watch until the episodes play.

Nowhere it is indicated that mj is her ex.. the only thing they showed is a pic of a guy whose face is dysfunction by maya and she is here to take revenge on mj.. the viewers simply assumed that the guy in the foto is mj because we are so used to seeing rich men using innocent girls and the girl coming back for revenge since childhood..
