Chand is in the operating room at the hospital, when Mahindra breaks in and stops Chand from going through with the abortion. He yells at Chand and says, "What are you doing? You want to take a child out of this world?" And Chand is obviously upset by his words. He goes onto say, I know it was from a crime but it is still a child. That the child isn't just yours, it's ours. The child is going to be a brother or sister to Kiran and is part of our family. If God has no objection to it, then why should you? Chand tries to protest because she still wants to get rid of it. But Mahindra won't hear of it and tells her to be quiet. He passionately says to her, don't you have faith in my love? She of course does and they leave the hospital together. It is a very intense scene.
The setting shifts to an outdoor photo shoot where a certain hot young director is auditioning for the perfect actress but none of the girls pleases him. He tells everyone to pack up for the day. Then his assistant asks him, why not return to Mumbai and look there, there is noone here who will suit the role. Then he says no, he knows what she looks like. He then describes Savri. That her eyes are sharad, her feet have payals that sometimes make music and sometimes are quiet. He lies on the grass, dreaming of her. The assistant says how will you find this girl. The director says here in Rajkot.
Back at the Neelkanth house, Nutan is giving Neelkanth his medicine. He is much better than before. Neelkanth doesn't want to take the meds however. then Krishna, dressed in a deep purple salwar suit, comes and implores her father to take it because he needs to get better. Neelkanth is too sad, he doesn't think there is any point in feeling better when Nirvaan is acting so strangely and isn't being the son that he can be proud of. (of course not you spoiled him)
Then the setting shifts back and forth between the house and a local Rajkot bar where Nirvaan is drunk and talking to himself. He is basically pouting, that he can't win in life and he will never win. Then it goes back to the house where Krishna kneels before Neelkanth She tells him not to worry, that Nirvaan is still a child but his fault is over and she will make him ok. It goes then to the bar again where Nirvaan says that the house is always lying and that all of the problems are because of the daughters. (sounds like jati bua). then Krishna at the house tells Neelkanth that she will teach Nirvaan how to live.
Nirvaan sitting at the bar, tells everyone his life is over. Paras comes and gets mad at him, that this is where he is, that if he doesn;t go back that is what they want then they will rule the house. Nirvaan is moved by his little talk and says "I love you brother, let's go" but he is clearly emotional because of the alcohol. Paras puts one arm around him and helps him home.
Then he takes Nirvaan back to the house, and Nirvaan stumbles in. totally smashed, he says that from today on, I won't listen to you people. The whole house is looking at him like he is from another planet.
The setting shifts to Chand's house in the bedroom, where Kiran asks a tired Chand where she had gone, that she knows she wakes up at a certain time and that because she is her lucky charm she has to see her face first thing in the morning. So where has her lucky charm gone? Then Mahindra picks her up and says that just as Mama is her lucky charm that he is his, and that right now Mama is tired so she needs some rest and then later she will have lots of masti with her. Then Kiran says ok go to sleep Mama and leaves the room. (she is really sweet)
Back at the Neelkanth house, Nirvaan comes in signing Happy Birthday to me, in a drunken way. Then Nutan comes to him and wishes him a happy birthday. Nirvaan is very rude to her and says why are you wishing me a happy birthday, and that he doesn't like any of her daughters. (Hello, they are all his sisters.) then Neelkanth in his chai is shocked to see him in such a state. Nirvaan starts singing again and the girls take him to his room and put him in bed to sleep it off.
Gurumayi comes. nutan and the whole family go and pranam her. she is doing a puja for Nirvaan's birthday. She asks Nutan that her daughters are all here but the son isn't? Nutan says that he will be here in a while. Then Nirvaan comes on cue, still drunk. Nutan asks what has happened to him, that he knows this is a puja for his birthday. He is rude again to Nutan and starts shouting at her and then shoves her away. Everyone is shocked by this display of bad manners. Gurumayi turns her head from the puja and gets mad at him. Nirvaan says that Veera makes a mistake, by going around with a goonda and everyone forgives her. Veera looks upset by his words. And Savri runs away from the house to be a star and everyone forgives her. Savri looks upset as well. But he the son makes a mistake and he doesn't get the same treatment. that everyone should agree with Neelkanth. He says that he isn't going to participate in the puja. gurumayi, fed up of his act, tells him to stop it. He tells her to stop shouting, that she isn't God. She replies back that she knows she isn't, but that his parents are and to respect them as such. Then Nirvaan gets mad at her telling him what to do and loses control. He asks her, who does she think she is? Then she says, "I am the guru of this house." And then she declares to Nirvaan that he isn't a son of this house, which shocks him and the rest of the family. The episode ends.
*What happens after Gurumayi's words to Nirvaan? how is Chand after her trip to the hospital? and what happens between the director and Savri? Find out in the next Paraya Dhan.*
It was an action-packed episode but no Parth. I think the highlight for me was the scene with Kiran. I am glad Gurumayi, a woman, put Nirvaan in his place. Not to say he wasn't set up by Jati bua and Paras, but he could have been more diplomatic about it.
