I have only seen him as Aditya so I will go with that. Tere liye, dharam patni saubhagyvati bhava never saw so cant comment. I saw clips of Kish desh, prem's character was decent for an ekta Male lead. Sahir i dont like coz he is gul hero typical angry young man MCP

Harshad Chopda is a versatile actor totally dedicated to his craft. He strives to excel in every role he plays and from his early days as Cadet Ali he has graduated to playing the multilayered Aditya Hooda with rare finesse. The journey has not been easy as it has taken him many years of hard work with long gaps between shows to reach the pinnacle of success that Bepannah has given him.I have not seen some of his early work like Mamta,Ambar Dhara but saw his steady progress as Mohan Gala in Dharampatni via Prem Juneja (Kis Desh mein hai mera dil) Anurag (Tere Liye),Raghav(Dil se di dua..Saubhgyavati bhava) Sahir(Humsafars)to finally Aditya Hooda in Bepannah.Though he has improved his performances with every show he was never mediocre ...he endeared himself to viewers in every role he has played. In fact in each role he looked perfectly cast. This is evident from the comments above where fans have listed almost all as their favourite ...Mohan , Prem, Raghav, Anurag, Sahir and finally Aditya ...all have been selected!
He has the chameleon like ability to mould himself into every character he has played. The journey has been long though ...a decade should have given us some more roles to savour but HC is obviously very choosy and unwilling to sign for roles he does not like.
Though Aditya & Sahir are my favourites I would readily vote for all his characters as excellent. My personal view is that he showed maximum skill as an actor as Prem Juneja where he moves from a simple, obedient son to the irascible Gaurav ,a dreamy lover, the angry young man ...he was given the opportunity to exploit all genres ...tragedy & comedy. It has been difficult to sit through the long winding KDMHMD (typical Balaji production) but Harshad made it possible.

Another facet I noticed ...and this is purely my opinion not wanting to hurt anyone's sentiments...in all his shows till he was pitted opposite Jennifer Winget who is at the top of her trade as the best FL in ITV he has acted with weak or insipid actresses who grew with the show. Mere good looks are not enough for good performances. But Jenny and him formed a powerful combination and Aditya Hooda naturally was the brilliant result.

It is obvious from his Sahir and Aditya act that the director too is important. AR has definitely drawn the best from him as he was at the helm in early Humsafars.

Hopefully we will get to see him soon in another powerful role with Jenny ..or any other talented actress...directed by AR. If Cinevisatas is the PH it would be the icing on the cake as he is on record saying how comfortable he was in a professional set up.

In my point of view Ekta brought the best out of him. She used his talent very well and gave him two super hit characters & shows of his career. Also she has an eye for chemistry.

I don't find spark between JW & HC. I think it is because of story. It had no depth & no natural progression. So I didn't feel connected to Aditya Zoya as a couple. Concept was good but execution was pathetic.
Chemistry depends upon story & characters it doesn't matter who the actor is.

EK gave him two hit characters to enact but she was not the director. The chemistry with Heer and Taani was indeed strong ...more with Taani as Anupriya is obviously a very talented actress at par with Harshad.
BP had an original concept based on second chances so a tad difficult to enact and direct as well. First love is always very strong ...so to show the transformation ...the depth of first love feelings ...the hard to accept disenchantment ...the friendship bond which hesitantly turns to love ...all these are not easy to play out for the director as well as the actors. In the EK shows it was so easy ..childhood love grows to adult, mature love ...no emotional confusion...it was so easy to act that bond. I think all three of them ...AR, HC & JW did an excellent job.

If there were flaws it was because of the channels interference and no fault of the director and actors. BP was supposed to be one of its kind on ITV ...immortal. Channel ruined it by trying to bring it down to normal ITV fare. Kudos to the trio for preserving the essence and to the PH for winding up before more damage was done.

I think it's because we never got to see Zoya and Aditya fall in love organically and you need that for chemistry. Aditya just returned with feelings and then started pursuing Zoya.

...and then the channel started intruding with their idiotic plots specially the Arshad track and ruined it all. Otherwise who knows we may have had a lyrical progression outclassing all earlier HC shows and Jenny's as well. They just did not get the chance due to this awful channel.given more time they may have turned them into nag/nagins or dayans.
