Hi Sneha,
As one who has been watching the show right from day 1 and never missed an epi, I feel terribly cheated - yes, by the channel only.
The makers, the crew, the actors, the leads - they did their utmost to make something of a terribly rushed ending. Though the intro of 2 new people, that too with at least one OTT role, was also a terribly incomprehensible thing in all this mayhem.
The screen space that should have been made available to JenShad, to Adiya more precisely, was taken up for days on end by rubbishy dialogues and interactions by others. Even the Arnoor thing was so badly given shape.
ALL BECAUSE THEY HAD TO RUSH AND RUSH THE STORY SO TERRIBLY.
It is beyond all understanding why the channel did not allow for an 'organic ending' (as Harshad called it) to happen. It would have hardly cost more, it would not have given them such a bad name, nay: hatred and curses from across the globe, and it would have given the makers and artists a chance to bring this to a decent closing - relatively speaking.
There was so much to explore, as Harshad also said, and so much to work on (also according to Jennifer), but everything was snuffed out - in actually less than a week's time, going by the time frame of writing the end lines, shooting, dubbing, and preparing for telecast.
I fully underscore JenShad's thinking and decision not to go in for an online route, through Voot.
For one, their enormous foreign fan base would have been locked out completely, except if they were to undertake extra, technical actions, which may not have been available everywhere anyway.
Also, in India itself not everyone within the fandom may or would have easy access to online viewing.
Then, since Voot is a Colors thing, there is no surety they could have continued araam se and/or properly, considering the way the channel had been sending them around timings left, right, and centre.
And, then of course, there is also the reason JenShad themselves mentioned: that BP was viewed as a show for television. It had a vision of slowly unfolding this beautiful story of love for a wide audience, the one that TV commands. Otherwise, they could have made a movie of 2-3 hours and be done with it!
COME TO THINK OF IT: Ah, wouldn't it be wonderful to see JenShad at least in a movie version of Bepanah?! ⭐️
