I as a person doesn't watch any show on Colors. I have tried four shows in this channel and the reason I quit all the four shows after about a month was same. The level of mental torture that is given keeps you sleepless. The emotional torture the characters undergo are too hard to bear. So irrespective of knowing Bepannaah is from Cinevistaas whose last three shows I have watched Ek hazaroein mein, Ek Hasina Thi and Beyhadh, irrespective of knowing the leading lady is Jennifer Winget one of my favourite actress I didn't check out the promo. Reason it is in colors and I don't want mental torture. But I got many requests from my regular readers in India forum check out the promo. Finally for Cinevistaas and Jennifer I decided to give the promo a chance.

What followed was the decision to watch the show. Yes I checked it out for Jennifer and Cinevistaas but from the first episode what hooked me to the show was the man Aditya Hooda and the actor Harshad Chopda who played him.

Just like the name of the character Aditya which means Sun, the screen lit up only when he enters the screen. A man we realize who sees the world in black and white, a man who has a scarred childhood, followed by the betrayal from his best friend cum wife.

When we see Aditya he is a guy full of attitude. He looks confident, is so sure of himself as he passes those sarcastic comments at everyone around him. Interestingly even God is not spared as far as his sarcasm goes. He goes to church and challenges God also that, God is also like him. Full in darkness. A man who hates the world; who hates himself and on the verge of destruction. But does not want to admit any of the inner turmoils wears a mask and want to show he is complete normal after his wife's death because she cheated him. Uncontrollable and unapologetic for all the tamasha he is creating, even in the grim situation we viewers have hearty laugh.

Enter the girl Zoya and we see the mask of Aditya slowly falling off. We see the vulnerability inside that quite confident person. We see the childish innocence in that grown up man. We see a heart that only wants to do good, that trusts, that seeks love and peace within that mask of angry young man.

The rooftop scene was one of the most brilliant scene of the show. Where Zoya comes from behind and tells him, she has understood him. There is goodness in him. As usual he doesn't want to admit his emotions. Instead terrorizes her that he is more bad than she thinks him to be. His emotions are dead after Pooja's death. He leaves her in the terrace and goes accidentally locking the door. But all his anger he cant stay put when Zoya's MIL calls him and tells Zoya has not come home. That day he saves Zoya from the terrace and in the hospital when doctor asks him who is he to her. He says no one. Doctor says you are a good man. For the first time he realizes Zoya has been proven right.

From there his journey starts with this girl as he fights with her, irritates her, but at the same time unknowingly protects her too. Without a named relation he gets connected to her, because somewhere she becomes the face of truth for him. A girl just like him who doesn't know to fake, who doesn't know to put mask. But that journey is not easier as their past always come between them. Though Zoya was willing to accept the mistake in her previous marriage life, we see Aditya adamant that there is no fault of his because his wife cheated. Pooja's mother gives him a rude awakening and as he reads Pooja's diary he comes face to face with the unpleasant truth that his wife had aborted their baby because he refused to grow up. That breaks him and somewhere that inner child dies inside this man as he gets accused of something about which he was not even aware of. That truth and the belief that his wife suffered because of him takes him to Paris to lead a secluded life away from others.

But destiny had other plans for him. He is brought back once again by Zoya. When his wife accused him of being irresponsible, Zoya proclaims to the world he is the man who made her as she receives the award for best entrepreneur. She tells she would prefer he comes back. Here we see how the two ladies have dealt with the same man. One claims he was responsible for her extra marital affair and the other claims he was responsible for her success. The beauty of Aditya's character itself was this two sides. Light and darkness. Pooja seeing the darkness or giving more importance to darkness. Zoya seeing the light and giving more importance to light.

Once he is back he realizes his feelings for Zoya and at first wants to run away from her. Then he accepts he wants a second chance with her. But as usual his insecurity takes over because of his past and he is unable to give Zoya those two weeks to decide whether she wants Arshad the man chosen by her father. If Aditya had done nothing Zoya would have said goodbye to Arshad in two weeks. But him playing the prank and Arshad's and Zoya's life in danger makes Zoya angry.

She accuses him of not being a good friend and decides to marry Arshad. We see Aditya not giving up as he believes Zoya loves him. He plays all kinds of pranks, he intrudes, questions, irritates to make Zoya tell the truth. Here we see him not giving her space to take her independent decision and the character flaw comes so much in focus. He also fights to win her. Things change when he kidnaps her and Zoya shouts instead of all this it would have been good if she is dead. He also gets a slap from Zoya's mother.

That dialogue of death by Zoya stops all the ego clash and once again we see him speaking the plain truth that he cant see her with another man, hence he is going back to Paris after leaving her at the wedding venue. The Chana mareya sequence was another beautiful part of this show where Aditya proves to Zoya that he is her good friend first and then a lover. Her choice is of utmost importance to him. If she wants to marry Arshad he will happily give her that choice.

Through that friendship itself finally love comes to him as Zoya cant allow him to go and she confesses her feelings. We see them getting married and Aditya promises her he will fight with her, but he will not leave her. But then the promise get tested in the most unexpected way, when he is arrested for his father's murder. When he doesn't remember anything, his wife trusts him. To prove him innocent she agrees for a one night stand with Rajvir. Rajvir does nothing to her, but in the heat of the moment as Aditya sees them he questions her why she did what she did and where is the proof nothing happened. Zoya retorts she did it for him, she was not going to give any proof and then walks off.

From here starts Aditya's battle of head and heart. With his trust broken so many times, he is unable to get off the image that his wife had a ONS with someone with consent. But at the same time his heart knows why she did what she did. Unlike what happened during Pooja time he doesn't self destroy. He manages his father's law firm, just like he threw away Pooja's things he doesn't burn the memories of Zoya. He lives without life with his mentally unstable mother. His ego doesn't allow him to go back and get her, but his heart doesn't allow him to forget the memories too.

Finally Zoya comes back to treat his mother and accuses him of not being a good son, brother and just stop short of not being a good husband. That leads Aditya to have a mind talk on what he thinks of Zoya, where on one hand his head says she cheated him by leaving him, but his heart asks then why didn't he got to bring her back. That battle is finally brought to halt when she meets Rajvir's nani who confesses the truth that nothing happened between Zoya and Rajvir. Aditya gets a closure.

He takes a long walk to ask sorry to his wife. Accepting his mistake and telling her he is not Ram, he is just a human with flaws. He realizes when everyone wore mask to him, his wife good or bad had never worn any mask. She had always shown the truth to him for what it is. She had accepted him with his flaws, it was time he accepted her with her flaws also. Aditya who had always questioned his mother on why she forgave their father, finally realizes everything in life is not black and white.. There are grey areas. Longetivity of a relation happens on how the couple manages the grey area of their life.

The beauty of Aditya Hooda was always the human touch it had. This man was never above human mistakes. What made him special was he was willing to accept his mistakes and take step to correct it, if it was pointed out to him. What made him special was his need to help anyone in trouble and not to make any collateral damage for his personal war. What made him special was he was at the same time a grown up man and an innocent child. What made him special was though he is angry, he can get emotional and wear his heart on the sleeve. What made him special was the life that was breathed into him by the actor Harshad Chopda.

Harshad a big big appreciation for you for treating us viewers with your portrayal of Aditya Hooda. This is the first show I am watching of yours and believe me with Aditya Hooda you have got a new fan. Every emotion of Aditya, joy, pain, sarcasm, love, anger you played with perfection. You made us laugh with Aditya and cry with him. Not to tell you made us skip a heart beat when he romanced Zoya onscreen. I know there is much more left unsaid of Aditya Hooda, but with whatever we have got I have made this analysis. Hope you come back with a new show soon, a much beautiful character than what you have presented in Bepannaah. Wishing you all the very best for your future projects. It was a pleasure watching you as Aditya Hooda.

I agree.

Watching Harshad on screen was immense pleasure.

Now that is what we can call a growth in character and story.

He has created a benchmark for himself as well as any other fictional character male or female. Very difficult for anyone else to match up. In reel as well as real.

There are Dummy dumb heroes...There are Mahaan heroes...There are MCP heroes...Then there is Adithya Hooda...i have never found a Male lead character this well written...100% human...One who believe what he sees...One who have trust issues...One who can love unconditionally...One who believes we should not stop loving out of the fear of betrayal...The best performance of Harshad Choda till date and one that will be remebered for years to come...
Sruthi well written...I have planned to write one for Zoya...Her journey from Zoya Arora - Zoya Siddiqui - Zoya Hooda...Her three shades - the Journey from a fairy tale princess to a women...may be by tomorrow i can write that...

So beautifully written. Your masterful writing is a bliss to read di.

I decided to watch the show as soon as I saw the promos. And I know there was another hit show in making with this pair that will set the screen on fire. And I was not wrong. Such shows come in rarity.
But what came as add on was Aditya Hooda as a flawed character and Zoya Siddiqui who was equally flawed. Both of them could be related on humane level. Both of them who would grow from strangers to soulmates who could see things in each other their dead partners couldn't see. None of them were OTT. They were real from what I have seen from around myself. Adi who saw world as black and white and Zoya who could also look at grey along with white if need be.

I had said in the beginning that Adi will teach Zoya to fight the world and Zoya will teach Adi to fight his inner battles, familial bonds from which he always ran away. Adi would provide her what Yash couldn't do by pushing her to do things beyond her capability thus turning her to a confident woman from a nauve woman. Zoya will push him to accept flaws and truth in his life and rise above it to grow into mature man. Adi brought a strong woman out of Zo who vould fight for herself and her beliefs and Zoya brought an understanding man out of him who could give a chance at understanding people and their persepctives and rise above himself.

Adi taught her exterior aspects of life and herself and Zoya taught him interiors of life and himself.

Great analysis👏 how do u do this every time?
U just said what I feel for Aditya Hooda...He is just imperfectly perfect man...😳

The best thing is Aditya Hooda is so so relatable to me...To us.

We fall...We rise...We get angry, we do silly things , say unintentionally what we want...Nd then we repent, we regret, we resolute that okay...From here, I accept my mistakes, I will improve, I will become a better person...
And that's how we keep learning throughout the life, we make better version of ourselves, we evolve as a person, nd this makes our life quite meaningful.

When I was a child, I usually think nd did ask people why this world has been created? Why God has given us life? Why we've born? What is the reason of our existence on earth?

As I got matured, I realized that this is what we call theory of evolution...We all have come here to evolve...Not only for us, but for others too.
If early humans had stopped learning, inventing , discovering new things...Ham log aaj bhi patthar ragad ragad ke aag jala rhe hote😆

So...Aditya Hooda evolved...Rise...Nd become a perfect person a girl could ever get...

I started watching BP because one day while flicking through channels came upon this show, it was Arshad track and Aditya just mesmerised me. Could not take my eyes off him. Such passion and intensity and pain. From then on watched BP regularly and started watching former episodes on YouTube. Harshad made all the emotions of Adiya so relatable. The way he used his eyes and voice is amazing. One of the few TV actors whom I have come to admire. Watching Humsafars now and praying he cones back to shine on our screen soon.
