Yesterday I was telling I have my doubts regarding what show is facing now. To be more precise its about the channel strategies. What it is understood is, the channel always wanted the show as a voot original because they know a crime thriller is not made for the taste of trp masses and as Bepannah has a very solid script from start to end the channel won't be able to intervene much in to the tracks.

Day by day the shows popularity kept growing, soon it became the online sensation, brought the highest trp and got secured its place in the top 5 trp chart in its first week.

From there the channel started to mess with its timings with frequent time changes, like they never did with any other show, and in a way they made it difficult for the show to build loyal tv audience, whenever the audience get used with the timing, colors changed the time slot, and always delayed the telecast by 10-15 mnts even from its scheduled slot. Bepannah has tremendous number of fans. But the problem is even the regular TV audience are forced to depend on online media and voot for Bepannah and thus the viewership is not getting recorded in the trp meters. They kept on introducing trp tracks such as paak poosh, arshad tack, celebrity marriage that always hindered the smooth narration of the story. But always the CVs with their brilliance managed to bring some twists and connected with the story line and brought it back on track and most of the times the shift felt seamless.

Now trp 1 or 1.1 is not the lowest considering the unpunctual timing and real viewership is evident from the online craze. The channel knows it and they insanely promoted the show online and is still promoting.

The news of Bepannah shifting to voot hasn't come from out of the blue, the channel always wanted so, but the PH never encouraged it. Now the channel has brought the show to such a point to choose either to be on voot or windup. The channel would prefer only the former as they might not want to loose the online popularity from Bepannah and Jenshad. But PH will be reluctant as it may cause them loss. Well we donno from where the news came but if PH re consider the voot platform by some cost cutting strategies like just retaining a few characters who are inevitable for the story telling and cutting short the crew members and creatives, may be this is what the channel wants.

Just my thoughts and guesses, no offence to anyone because we know all are just business strategies.

Actually deeps, I am not yet been able to accept that BP is soon to be off air, such a good show with no signs of offair till last week and every thing coming from every sides all of a sudden everything sounds like a night mare . Had the story been dragging and the talks of channels negligence to the show since a few months were the case, then we would have guessed and prepared for the off air news even before all these spoilers. But here the case is the channel treated BP as its face and treated nicely except the telecast time. Everything was going fine and it has such a huge fan following ...but still this fate..Till the official confirmation comes I have a slight hope.Once it comes we can happily bid adeiu to the show. Hope it gets a fair ending that fits the quality of the show Bepannah has been all along.
