From the flashbacks, I sorta feel for Pooja... Cheating isn't justified and she definitely had a communication problem with Adi but her feelings were genuine. But somehow I can't sympathise with Yash's character! Maybe its just his face or something. Idk. But he doesn't look or sound sincere at all. I wonder if he just recognised that Pooja is a RICH, unhappily married woman and was just pretending to be in love with her for the money. After divorce, wife gets half of husband's money. Maybe that was his plan all along.
Or he could just be a bad actor?

Yash's character is under developed we don't know much about him but the actor who plays him doesn't help either he gives constipated expressions 😆

I understand Yash's dissatisfaction with his life and marriage. When he met Zoya he fell in love with her innocence and sweetness. But they ran way and got married. While they are adults and should not require the permission of their parents to get married that's not how society works. Also, since getting married it's not like Zoya cut off contact with her family or he is. Dealing with an in-law who does not like you and who is constantly judging you for your failures can be stressful.

Zoya's innocence and naivety would have have become grating and frustrating after a point. She was an adult, who was so used to being the spoilt and pampered princess, that she could not and did not take up any responsibility in the marriage. Just like Aditya, she was happy for Yash to be making all the big decisions. It's almost like she believed life was a fairytale filled with romance and lazing about all day. What did she even do to pass the time without Yash? I can totally see how her attitude towards life and him may have bred resentment.

Again, none of this justifies cheating. He should have come clean and divorced her and definitely not taken money from his father-in-law to buy a house for his mother. But, his position is not unsympathetic.

The producer/director said it clearly in the launch video that people who indulge in EMA are not always bad. If Yash turns out to be negative then that message will be proved wrong. Plus, Yash is already dead. There's no point showing him as a bad person. His love for Pooja was so intense that he even wanted to die holding her hands and God fulfilled his wish. 😆
I think it's got more to do with Sehban's bad acting. If the cvs would have cast a better actor then all the confusion regarding his character would not have began at all.

Under developed character can also be justified if the acting from the actor's side is good. Like how petty Mahi is justified due to Vaishnavi's acting. Sometimes her reactions or expressions are also memo worthy. 😆 But in Yash's case, its mainly because Sehban is such a bad actor.
