A Small Conversation
She sat on the terrace, with her back leaning against the wall. Her gaze was stuck at the sky, adoring the bright shining twinkling stars. Her lips curved in a smile as a beautiful memory flashed before her eyes. She used to stay on the terrace absorbing the beauty of the night being in the arms of Yash. She recalled how he used to hold her, as if she was a delicate doll.
Her smile faded, the second the image of divorce papers came before her eyes. Yash had signed the divorce papers. He was willing to end their relation.
"Ham ab tak samajh nahi paaye Yash, kaha galti kar di hamne. Kya aapne kabhi hamse pyar nahi kiya? Kya aap hame sach me talaaq dena chahte the?" She wrapped her hands around her shaky figure in despair. She had absolutely no way to know the truth and it hurt. It hurt terribly to accept the reality that she would have to live her life with no clarity about Yash and her relationship.
"Zoya." Aditya walked up to her and she looked up in surprise.
"Aap yaha?"
He hummed in response before settling beside her. He hadn't been able to sleep and with intention of checking upon her, he had made it to her room only to find it empty. After searching her in entire house, he had reached to the terrace.
The silence never felt so comfortable to Aditya earlier. Her sight had put a full stop to his restlessness caused by the dream that woke him up through his slumber. The dream of Pooja. The dream of sweet moments with Pooja. It had felt peaceful in his dream but once it was gone, it took his peace along.
When his dream was over, reality dawned upon him and it wasn't pleasant as his dream. Pooja was no longer with him. Her love was still in doubts. He did not even know if she loved him for real even for a day. He did not know. He did not anything and he could not even find out because Pooja was gone and so, all the answers, with her.
Zoya's arrival in his life still felt a mystery to him. They were connected to each other in a peculiar way. Their life were entangled.
"Maine ek sapna dekha," Aditya almost whispered.
"Pooja ke sath." She said, glancing at him.
"Tumhe kaise pata?" He asked amused, wondering how she knew it.
"Ham bhi Yash ke bare me soch rahe the." She mumbled in a soft but pained voice that held her deepest emotions.
"Mai nahi jaanta kya hua tha jo aaj ham yaha, iss mod par khade hai jaha na sach jaanane ka koi jariya hai na koi ummed. Tum ne kaha tha na, ham kismat se jude hai. Aaj shayad mai bhi maanta hu. Dard ke rishte se bandhe hai ham aur dard ka rishta sabse gehra hota hai." He had been blaming Pooja ever since her death. He hadn't able to bear the pain of betrayal but today, he wasn't blaming anybody... neither Yash nor Pooja.
She let out a small laugh. "Dard ka rishta sabse gehra hota hai aur dhokhe ka dard."
Turning his head towards her, he witnessed her broken self again. She was shattered to see the divorce papers with Yash's sign over them. The more she tried herself to get out of it, the more she was getting trapped into it. The question still haunted her - was Yash not happy with her? Why he wanted to give her the divorce?
"Shayad hamara pyar hi kamzor tha." Rising on her feet, she walked around with sadness engulfing her.
"Tumhara to nahi ho sakta. Shayad uska hoga." He stood up, and she tilted her head back at him.
"Hamara kyu nahi ho sakta?" She wanted to know more. She wanted to know what he exactly meant.
"Jis ladki ne apni aankho se dekhne ke bavajood me uss par nahi but apne pyar par, apne rishte par, apne pati par bharosa kiya... Jis ladki ne meri har uss baat ko ansuna kar diya jisne kaha ke uske pati ne uss par cheat kiya hai... Jo ladki apne divorce papers dekhne ke bavajood apne uss pati ki company chala rahi hai... Uska pyar kamzoor kaise ho sakta hai? Nahi ho sakta." He justified, leaving her amazed and himself, astonished.
She gave him a small smile and that night, she realized one thing.
Aditya Hooda had changed or probably he always was, this way.
He returned back a genuine smile and that night, he realized one thing.
Zoya Siddiqui had become the reason for acquiring his new self.

Alright, so I am an on and off viewer of this show. I watch whenever my schedule permits so please, consider that I am not a regular viewer and so I am not aware of each and everything that has happened so far. This was just a random piece that I started with the intention as a drabble but somehow it extended more than that. My Hindi is absolutely 🤢 very, very weak but I tried to keep all the dialogues in Hindi. Pardon me for any mistakes, any errors. Again, I apologize if this doesn't make any sense. Now that I read it after writing, it doesn't make sense to me as well. 😆 But what am I going to do by keeping this in my phone so posting this.
