Religion has always been a sensitive issue and true devotees of any religion will know that as individuals you have to base your lifestyle and choices around the religion not vice versa. Halaala is being regarded as absurd and tbh it is but the reason being is that it is a pre emptive measure to stop couples from divorcing as opposed to stopping them from reuniting. In some instances if a man has no intention of reconciling when divorcing a woman what difference would it actually make if he knows of halaala or not if his mind is fixed on divorce? Please do your research before labelling certain religions as villainous...everything is down to interpretation.
