No offence to ur opinion but I dnt agree.Beintehaa was and is a LOVE STORY of Zain Aaliya. And we fans watch d show only Zaya n their romance and their story.Barkat track was dragged like anything.
Yes it was a filler epi but as long as Zaya scenes r there,we'll not complain.
I think people r used to c other shows which hv sm OTT drama n unbelievable story lines dat they cn hardly digest light moments in BI.
So chill, more twists will b coming in BI.So u'll enjoy d coming epi.

bhaiyyaji, welcome to the forum and pointing out rational points.
I had very much looked forward to Barkat and MK track and was hopeful that CVs would explore this plot properly which had potential to generate various interesting sub-plots that could have retained interests of all kind of viewers. Apparently that was not the case and the result is a badly wrapping of the Barkat track with humungous dose of rushed romance.
And now we are heading for standard saas-bahu saga with the twist being that saasu ma thinks bahu is having an extra-marital affair with her another first cousin.

Don't know if we will have another cameo coming in to spice up things or something else.

This was not the BI that I started liking.😔

lol.. don't think of zubu as "another first cousin". Think of him as a friend or something, if that helps. Because remember, first cousins are as good as a match than anyone else in Islam. In that, Surraiyya is getting freaked out. I'm not justifying it, but if he was her brother, she wouldn't have freaked out as bad..lol

I am very much aware of the fact. However, I don't think people here realise this cultural difference. And that's one of my main reason to question and condemn well-cultured Aaliya's amateurish behaviour around Zubbu. I have no complains about Suraiyya's current anger or 2 weeks back Zain questioning her about Zubbu. Infact, if he was brother, there would have never been any freaking out in the first place.

TM,
very valid points. I know everyone is going gaga over Zain-Aliya romance, but things should be timed well to be truly appreciated. I liked the focus the confession and pre-confession period got, but now it's time to focus on Barkat, if that is the track you are showing.

It's fine if Zain-Aliya are romancing by the side, but loopholes about Barkat story remain, with neither of the Abdullah's showing interest in knowing what really happened. First of all, they focused so much on Barkat's entry, showing varied reactions to finding her from every member of the family. So much joy, so much partying, so much relief was shown especially for the parents and the siblings. Now that they found out she is dead, hardly anybody grieved over it. Even the quran-khaani was focused on Zubbu;s random act of going over to Aliya and how it was being perceived by Suraiya. And post that, they have been partying, without showing any lapse of time between Barkat's identity revelation and the jashns that are happening in Abdullah house.

With such good actors on the show, give them some character roles to play out na. Ultimately there is relief that Bobby was caught, but it was also revealed that their hope for Barkat has ended, as she is dead. Did they not want to mourn that? Rushing with the story line is fine, but it almost looked like Aliya-Zain got over Barkat's death in a jiffy only to romance and party again. Even Usman barely showed any shock at the new development. Why didn't they show Usman and Suraiya questioning Mir Khan or even wondering to themselves about Barkat's real fate or circumstances of her death. They just accepted it all so easily, without any proof. And, if Aliya wanted to surprise Zain, do it in a private way, why throw a party when family has just learnt of Barkat's death and gone through such a traumatic event? Why are CV's rushing this way and making it all look so unbelievable?

I hope they close this Barkat-Mir Khan loop in a more sensible way. Mir Khan was introduced with so much fanfare, the whole bawdi ka raaz drama was so focused on, Barkat's entry was such a huge deal, so why not her exit and the closure to the track?

Not to offend anyone, I do like Zain-Aliya relationship as is shown in teh show, because frankly it is a breath of fresh air in the usual stupid couples shown on TV, but don't derail the show's pace or make it inconsistent because BI has a lot more to offer too.

Pari, your above points are very valid. MK was suppose to be a month long cameo. But we never got to see or understand this character. And now with both Bobby and MK arrested, I don't see this track reviving. CVs messed up storyline and characters big time!

Hi Nels,
Bang on about the above. My problem too is not in Aliya-Zubbu's relationship, but how Aliya's character is promoted from the beginning. And even now, it's fine if she is super close to Zubbu, but why behave like this in front of in laws? Especially when cousins get married too in their family? I mean she married Zain and he is her cousin. So why is everyone so appalled that Suraiya is silly to think wrong about Aliya and Zubbu. For her, it is as much a possibility, esp going by how they really behave. I am very young myself, married and have a lot of male cousins, but they behave like brothers, not like Zubbu. Him walking over during the quran-khani which was kept in mourning of Barkat's death to Aliya (where as I am aware, male and female members do not mix) and asking her to read for him was so childish? His constant aloo aloo in front of her in laws is not cousin like, but comes across like some ex bf. I am only saying how it comes across and I do not blame Suraiya one bit for having her doubts, especially from all that she has seen. She is not Usman who has always openly loved Aliya enough to never judge her, but instead she has always been cynical of Aliya and this behavior from her bahu with chipkoo Zubbu is not going to gain any favors. She is only looking out for her son in this case going by what she perceives as too much closeness between bahu and her male cousin.

Good to see someone on the forum who has similar thoughts. :)

Pari, I remember pointing this out in one of the controversial thread but felt neither the TM or the people responding there realised this fact. People don't understand that if makers claim Islamic backdrop as the USP of the show then they cannot manipulate cultural differences to their advantage. There has to be some consistency.

@bold: Exactly. Infact the show started on the same note of misunderstanding her relationship with Zain. I am really surprised that how could the character of Aaliya, who is mature and responsible, fail when it comes to Zubbu. The whole blame goes to writer for goofing up with cultural traits and characterization of Aaliya.

@underline: There are many, but have given up.

Hey welcome to the forum, totally understand where your coming from
Many have the same thought but we have given up now since there's no point
Barkat track was the most intruging track which many of us where looking forward to but in return we got illogical OTT family drama which was dragged for ages and has finally come to and end.
There are many things which really don't make sense but nothing can be done, even I wanted barkat track to end first before confession but it didn't happen and at that time I'd rather see their confession happen that barkat track since it wasn't intending to go anywhere.
And zubbu he acts immature when he needs to act mature, he's probably here till he plays his last card which I don't know what it will be

Whatever happened to that Usman having another facet and him and Mir Khan having some unfinished business.. Their has to be a story running with other characters as well along side the leads, this is where BI lacks pronto.
Ousting of barkat could have been handled well, when we bore the torture of her manipulations for so long, her being ousted could have been handled well and taken a little more time , like how she was being caught in her own web of lies.. How Mir came back and why suddenly target Usman again after so many years.. Too many unanswered questions Nels..
And i DITTO ur thoughts on Aliya Zubbu stuff..

They cannot rush with important tracks like this, and arent these exposing the vamp a TRP booster track?? They let that pass so easily..
I like fast paced episodes myself, which lacked with too many of barkat nonsense initially and when the time came where in they could move slowly they rushed with it.
