well aaliya had broke off her marriage with him because he suspected about aaliya having an affair with zain and demanded more dowry for this reason..frist of all she don't know that he was demanding dowry ..when she came to know ..she called -off the marriage with him..!!!

zeeshan's family(they were the sleazy, nosy lots) were demanding for dowry.. which aliya's parents did give them while the rishta was fixed but later on the demands started to rise.. aliya didnt know about it.. and between all that zain was there and aliya was under the impression that he was zeeshan..

and anyway they get into trouble and are taken by the police.. zain tells them that she is his fiance nd the police is non other than zeeshan's mama... so on the day of the nikaah zeeshan's parents wants more dowry which aliya refuses to give when she finds out and zeeshan's mama comes and identifies her as zain's fiance... everyone questions aliyas character including zeeshan.. then she gives a tight slap to him and then break off the engagement.
