It had been a week since Aalia had bought back Barkat back at her home, to her family. Barkat was exact as everyone had thought of her. Bubbly, cheary, talkative and out of the world. At first, ofcourse she was apprehensive about everyone and stayed quiet, but all it took was Aalia to introduce her to everyone & she had become everyone's darling. Barkat was everything an young girl should be & was very much attached to Aalia since she was the one who had bought her back from the clutches of Mir.
No one knew how had Aalia found Barkat. At first, Zain and Aalia investigated about Barkat together but later it was Aalia who had bought Barkat back. And after Barkat was found, no one questioned Aalia about it. So all was well, atleast on the top.
Zain had noticed that Aalia would silently work around the house, taking care of everyone, not getting into any quarrel, no kitkit with him and smiling at everyone. She had gotten withdrawn. So, being his true blunt self, he had asked Aalia about it but the only answer he got was that she was alright & just busy around the house. Thought Zain did not believe her, he did not have any reason to question her further since even Surraiya had warmed towards her since Barkat's return & thinking that maybe Aalia was giving everyone time to bond with Barkat, just shrugged his concern towards her.
It was an bright and colorful morning once again in Barkat Villa, everyone was going around doing their work in the house. Everything going in a routine. Zain woke up to see the cushions neatly put on the sofa & his kitkit's side cleaned as if no one has slept on that side but then he remembered that Aalia had slept before him yesterday and found peace within himself. Just as he was getting ready, Barkat barged in the room searching for her Aalia Bi. Explaining that she had seen Aalia Bi since morning and that she didn't even come to wake sweet barkat up was absolutely a sin commited by Aalia Bi. Amused at his sister, Zain said that she must be in kitchen preparing for breakfast, Zain told Barkat to go while he will follow. So Barkat running in her highest speed went to find her Aalia bi. As Zain went to take his Cell phone from the side table he saw a paper that he had failed to see till that time and opened it to see the contents that left him shocked twice in that month.
Everyone was sitting at the dining table waiting for Zain, Surraiya seeing Zain walk down the stairs called him. Zain instead of coming and sitting directly at his seat went and stood between Usmaan and Surraiya while he handed over an piece of paper towards Usman. Usman unfolding the letter, started reading it...
ZAIN,
Jaanti hu, yeh dusri baar kar rahi hu. Shayad tum yeh khaat padhna bhi na chaho. Gussa mat hona, iss baar mere baas mei nahi tha ki mai ruk jau. Mai jaa rai hu, yahaan se bahut door, jahan mera saaya bhi tum sab par naa pade. Shayad mami shai kehti thi Zain, hum ek dusre ke liye banne hi nahi hai. Ya toh hum jhagadte rehte hai ya phir ek dusre ki tang kheechte rehte hai. Par mere yahann se jaane ka reason yeh nahi hai. Sach mein.
Zain, abb mai Barkat mein nahi reh sakti, dam ghutta hai mera, aisa lagta hai ki mai marr jaungi, meri aatma ko sukoon nahi milta. Yeh jaante hue ki 21 saal tak mama mami ko Barkat ke bina jeena pada, Fahad Bhai aur tumhe aapni behen se judaa rehna pada aur who bas isliye kyunki mere Chacha ne use kidnap kar liya tha. Ab tum kahoge ki isme meri galti nahi hai, mai toh unhe jaanti tak nahi par khoon toh unka hi hai na mere ragoo mein. Kabhi kabhi sochti thi ki iss khoon ko hi bahha doon par Allah ki bacchi hu na, unka yeh zindigi ka tofa aise hi barbad nahi kar sakti. Isliye jaa rai hu.
Agar tumne kabhi bhi mujhe apna dost tak samjha ho toh, tumhe meri kasam mujhe mat dhundna, dhund bhi paaye toh main tumhare saath wapas nahi aaungi. Jaanti hu Nikah ke saare wade tod rahi hu, uske liye maaf kar dena aur apni zindigi mei aage badhna kissi aise jeevan saathi ke saath jo sach mein tumhe khushi de.
Sabko mera pyaar dena aur Barkat ko meri taraf se sorry kehna, uske liye maine eek khat chooda hai, ho sake toh usse de dena. Aur usse guily feel hoga, main janti hu par tum usse sambhal loge na, mere liye ...
ALLAH HAFIZ
Just as Usman finished reading the letter, everyone heard a glass breaking, as they looked up they saw a crying barkat and the glass of water fallen on the floor. Her face held a look of utter grief and betrayal that everyone almost ran to her but like the true Abdullah, Barkat showed her hand to everyone and slowly walked towards Zain who held another letter in his hands. Barkat snached the letter & then the paper that Zain held back with his another hand.
It was then that Zain totally broke down, all the happening at last settling in his mind. Barkat swiftly came to her Bhaijaan and hugged him with all her might. It was then that Barkat Villa, heard the most horrifying sounds of grief and sadness that would be forever immersed with the history of Barkat Villa. The family could do nothing but watch as the bro-sis broke down and comforted each other together for that one person who meant the world to them.
