I think he was genuinely shocked becos he didn't expect zain to say such a thing...it was very unexpected... zain usually talks to rizwan about everything but this was something he didn't even share with rizwan so obviously rizwan was not expecting this outburst. I think rizwan will always side zaiin becos he wants whats best for zain and knows that this marriage isn't something zain wanted but he also has a level of respect for aliya... If he didn't he wouldn't have addressed her as bhabhi nor would he have sided aliya by clearing to zain that aliya never told him 2 leave the room. I think with time he'll realise that aliya is the best wife for zain and then maybe he'll support aliya but again even by supporting aliya he'll be siding zain cos he wants whats best for zain.

Yeah even i noticed that screen went black & white only on those characters who were literally shocked...I luved that thing...Kudos to the Director ...Rizwan is good guy much better than his loser Sister Nafeesa...So Riz is deffo in Team ZaYa...!!!

I think now he will play a big role of bringing ZaYa close

I think Rizwan will be the person who helps Zain eventually realize what Aliya is worth

He is Nafeesa's brother so anything can happen...but if he has an ounce of feelings...he'll know just how painful it was for his sister to accept a 2nd wife...and maybe he'll feel for Aaliya and knock some sense into his friend.
