I know a lot of topics have been made regarding Aaliya in today's episode, but what I'm really

happy about is that, for once, on Indian television, we have a mother teaching her daughter the

RIGHT thing. I mean coming from a conservative family, my grandma is always going on about

how compromising is a girl's job. I vehemently disagreed, but then I saw all these soaps and I\

understood that these are orthodox mindsets perpetuated by these shows that play havoc with

our minds. I was extremely happy with the message Aaliya's mom sent not only to her, but to

young girls everywhere, that NO a girl isn't the one who needs to put up with all the crap her

husband spews at her. Setting a foundation for a relationship is important from the get-go, and

I'm glad at least from what I saw in today's episode, that Aaliya will not stand for this bakwaas. I'm

so tired of women being portrayed as weak and at the mercy of their families while the guy can

get away with murder. From her parent's to society to her husband then her in-laws, a woman is

given all these rules and customs to follow. Is it so difficult for a girl to be part of a family and have

her own freedom, her own opinions, and her own mind? I hope BI shows that women are

stronger than what our ancestors have been telling us they are.

Okay RANT over😃😆

Well written post!
I was so proud that there was a character like Shabana who didn't teach her daughter to bow her head and say yes to everything, she told her to follow what was right.
