Despite a very seemingly naughty sounding title (VP, I is looking at you), the subject of this post is rather serious.
Chemistry.
I'll just say it, I fell for ZaYa much more today than on any other day. Because I saw the perfect chemistry between them. Yeah, they always had chemistry, DUH! We haven't gone all ZaYa crazy for nothing! But that was the more sparks flying kind of chemistry owing to the nature of the scenes. But today was the more subtle kind of chemistry, the kind which is shown via the very small gestures between two people. The perfect sync of action and reaction.

From the start where he was startled seeing her standing in front of him and she was just comparatively normal, curious even. Why did he call her here?
This is my favorite part of the episode. When it sinks in just what has happened to them in the past hour or so. Both of them looked away at the same time. There's hesitation and a little guilt and some discomfort. And it showed so perfectly. What were they doing except just standing there? But we could literally see what was going on with them. That's chemistry!
Then he starts speaking and there's a definite shift in emotions. He wants to get it over with and done and she listens to him with a kind of steely face like she knows that whatever he will say won't affect him.
And she changes her body language. Like she was the strong resolve and she is daring him to continue. She says her thought about their union is the same as his', she ain't interested in all that. That's what I love about ZaYa! Regardless of whatever that has happened between them in the matter of days, the equation from their childhood hasn't changed one bit. They still get on each others' nerves. Kuch bhi hojae, that ain't changing anytime soon!
The deal is sealed. She will tell her father that she isn't ready for this marriage. From both of them it's a strict "business only" kind of a look. Like it was their last conversation before they say goodbye to each other forever. It doesn't end on a bitter or happy note, just on an normal one. No hard feelings type?
Here is what I meant by chemistry. When both of them stop at the very same second. Like something, fate maybe, compelled them to stop telling them that the business that they thought was over is still unfinished. A nagging feeling is within both of them. It's like she instinctively knows that he has words to speak and he knows that she is there to listen.
Both of them turned around at the same time. Action and reaction. 50/50. Equal ground.

I doubt I can fall out of love with Zain now! Despite his apologies when she was breaking down, he apologized to her again. Because situation has changed. He is man enough to know that his apologies then and his apology now will be drastically different. Because then his apologies were only to calm her down. Now his apology will be answered. And it was. She truly let it pass away. No grudges, no hatred. God, what is it that is between them that concern and basic manners still breath with all the dislike that they share? It's so so so beautiful! <3
I know it's a very small scene to be dissected like that but I couldn't help it! I am so in love with ZaYa that their small gestures leave a huge impact on me and I can't help it. Kudos to the director for directing this scene with such elegant beauty! Harshad and Preetika truly did justice to the all subtle nuances of their characters 👏
