I stopped watching Behnein for a couple of weeks. In the beginning, it was one of my favourite shows. I loved the relationship they showed between 4 sisters. Due to couple of twists and turns I found the show a drag to watch. I just can't bring myself to watch it as it feels like a chore.

Now with this Karan track. It feels so overdone and is so boring and predictable. We all know he's gonna create a bit of havoc into the sister's lives and eventually get caught. The creeping and scheming of Karan just doesn't keep me interested. And realistically, who in their right mind would bring someone like him home after all he has done? I don't even think Mother Theresa's heart is that big. Well actually, it doesn't have much to do with kindness as it does with stupidity. They were practically begging to have their lives ruined by bringing him back.

Ok can you guys do me a favour and inform me when this Karan track is over? I might have some renewed interest in this show. I think Behnein used to be one of the top shows in terms of ratings. It's so obvious that viewers do not like what the CTs are showing, so get a clue CTs! They have created such dis-attachment from the characters that frankly I wouldn't even care if they killed off all sisters. Compare that in the beginning where every moment of the character's life was precious and a treat to watch. They didn't let each character develop properly to remain in the heart of viewers. Also, in the beginning each sister had a different flare. Now everyone seems so dull. Akashi was my favourite character. I loved her spunk. Now that she's married, it's her husband this, her husband that. She lost her youthfulness and is now a typical housewife. We already have an ideal housewife (Purva), must there be 2? Akashi also lost her rebellious streak. I mean ideally all sisters are good and have big hearts but its so boring to watch them convey the same type of personality. Give them different personas! Having chicken for dinner is nice but not every night! We want variety because as they, variety is the spice of life.

You can even see on this forum (it's dead) that members are not even posting, which is a big contrast to back when Behnein started. Has everyone lost interest like me? Anyways, I request you to let me know when this Karan issue has been resolved. Many thanks in advance.

I love Behnein too. But, even I was sick of Karan too. The good news is that the Karan's track is ending.
I agree with the sisters' personalties are changing. I used to love the fact that Purva was the heart and protector of the family, Smirti being shy sister while Askashi was a rebel. And Anoki was easy -going sister. Whereas now, all Askashi go on about is Shamal this and Shamal that basically Shamal, Shamal. Also Smriti became too sensible.
Hopefully, it will gets better.😊

Right, their characters are so unrealistically perfect and dull. There's nothing raw with their emotions. All four sisters have been promoted to 4 Devis. I don't see their human flaws and desires.

As you all probably noticed, I gave up on the show a few weeks ago. The Karan track was interesting in the beginning but it totally bored me to death. And yeah the Akashi-Shamad track just got on my last nerves.

The only two tracks that seem decent are Anokhi-Bhavesh and I just saw one episode of Smriti with that new guy and they seem decent, as long as they don't end up screwing up this guy as well. I think it's high time Smriti finds happiness in this show and AnoVesh get married.

Purva Mihir I've come to accept them, but Akashi Shamad are killing me because as one of you mentioned, everything about her became sympathizing with Shamad and I didn't like that she wasn't the same kind of independent woman that she was in the beginning. Of course, I do appreciate that she supports her husband, but there was something different about her character that just began to tick me off.

So yeah, maybe I'll begin catching up with episodes again after this Karan track is over. Or maybe I won't.

But wow, just wanted to share my frustrations.

Hope no one minds!

Naina, you hit it right on the ball. Anokhi and Bhavesh are the saving grace of the show at the moment. I really hope for their sake that they do not get married seeing as the show makes married women seem so dull.

About Purva-Mihir, I just felt it was so wrong. Smriti suffered so much in Mihir's family and then they show Purva coming in and fixing everything? She turned Kamini and Shalaka into good characters. So basically the CTs are trying to show it was all Smriti's fault that her life was so unhappy? Or were they trying to make promote Purva as super-woman with all the qualities to even make foes into family? Purva is the motherly type, I get that. She has got no flaws as everything she does is with good intention. She's like the maha devi. Then they show love scenes between Mihir-Purva and it's like watching your grandparents romancing. There's no depht in her character. In my experience, I've always loved strong female characters who have a few shortcomings but try to overcome them. Akashi is gunning to be a mini-Purva and it's just so annoying with her going on about Shamal. A character like Purva is needed to stabilize the story but when they make her front and centre it's just so boring to watch. The other characters used to make it up with the excitement they bring. Now the excitement is gone.

There was so much potential in Behnein. It's sort of sad what they let it come to. If anything, I loved reading discussions on this forum from members like Naina. Now it's ghost-town.

Anokhi Bhavesh are cute, like to put it simply, their story is cute and it's moving forward, slowly, but definitely moving. But you're right, it seems like once you get married in this show, everything is screwed up. I loved the Jigna track although I'm annoyed that it ended up being Smriti's husband. Like I really liked Karan's character when he first entered, but they screwed that up.

The Mihir-Purva thing. I actually started watching the show after this track began so from the beginning, I've been kind of used to Mihir and Purva. Although I definitely agree that whatever happened with Smriti is wrong, I came to accept Mihir and Purva as couple. But, I definitely am getting annoyed with Purva becoming the savior in every aspect and not telling anyone anythng and deciding to keep everything a secret thinking she can solve all the problems herself.

I would have preferred the CVs show a stronger bond between the sisters, and in fact maybe some fighting between them as well. Like people telling Purva to actually tell them what is going on.

AkaSha used to be my favorite, but now they're my least favorite. I absolutely cannot watch them because their story is so boring. It's just like Shamad feeling all depressed about himself and Akaashi consoling him, ugh move on.

This last track for Smriti better work out because I will be annoyed as hell if this guy ends up turning into some kind of crap. The girl deserves happiness, and she should get it. I don't care how it is.

But I just left the forum as well, no matter what I did with a few other people to revive the forum, nothing worked, no one posted, commented, did anything, so I gave up. And people are apparently exhausted with the show as well.

I wouldn't mind doing written updates or whatever again, but it honestly feels like no one reads them. There is no discussion, no comments to anything, so I thought what's the point in me posting if no one else seems to care either?

I loved when Smriti was bubbly and fun. Now she's just so over-sensitive although I like how she's trying to stand up on her own 2 feet. The new guy better not make her into a male-dependent quiet housewife. Every scene is so emotionally draining. When they try to provide comic relief, they miss by a longshot. They show Purva-Mihir or Akashi-Shamal romancing to give us a break from the Karan thriller. I don't think that's working out. It's not so fun watching a married couple be all lovey-dovey all the time. Where's the scandal in that 😉 There's nothing fresh.

@ Naina I was actually looking for written updates but couldn't find any. 😔 I get where you're coming from though. I too would be frustrated if my efforts were put to waste and not even recognized. Where's the discussion, the comments, or even a tfs?

If I could take off University I would volunteer myself to becoming the new head CT for Behnein. Mind you, my Hindi is terrible, but I can work around that 😉 I would totally revamp the show into top 10, NO make that number 1 position both in terms of rating and on IF! 😆 You will see 30-50 new posts a day here. Your brain will be so active reading the many comments and insights it might just explode 🤣.

I'm sorry about you feeling that no one appreciates your written updates, but I'm sure most people do value them more than they realise. And I'm one of those. But I can understand if you feel bored doing them
But I strongly disagree with the way some people feel for Mihir and Purva. Because I honsetly think their relationship is beautiful. Two people coming together making scarfices under certain circumstances and then develop emotions and love for each other without disrepecting one another. I love the way Mihir trust Purva no matter what and how she would go huge lengths to protect him such as from karan who trying to destroy his reputation and therefore his confidence. Additionally despite the fact that she is an excellent wife to Mihir, she also a very strong woman who dealt everything to protect her family so they didnt have to suffer too. And she stand up to Mihir, when she didnt agree with him. (Whereas most women in different serials hardly ever stand up against their husband or voice their opinions in the fear of hurting them) There is equality in their marriage. I love their romance scenes very much because it is convincing.
Yes it is wrong that Smriti had to suffered when Mihir has decided that Purva was the one who he want to be with, but let be frank here it has all worked out for the best in the end. Because now Mihir and Purva are happy and Smriti may find a happiness in a new guy Jay. Afterall she deserve a guy who loves her as much Mihir loves Purva. Even if she was with Mihir, they would never really be that happy in their lives. Because they are two completely different people
In real life ,in some societies not all women didnt have the same options as we do. In rich family, some sisters do have to give up their lives for the other sister, if she is unstable or deceased to secure her sister's child/children and their rights. Even if that mean marrying someone that you didnt love. My great-aunt was one of them.
In this series, what they have done is took an example of a real life matter and put it ina way that we could understand and enjoy, but stretched it a little bit. As the deceased sister doesnt come back alive again like they did with Smriti.
I hope I havent upset any one as that is not my intention. I'm just expressing my view.

Charm2, beautifully written. It's just that Purva is just too perfect (she can do no wrong) I mean she fits a motherly role and I understand she's the backbone of the 4 sisters. But my problem is this, most viewers will get bored of that. You love your mother, right? But you wouldn't want to see her on tv. It just wouldn't be entertaining. For me, I have a soft spot for those characters who show human weakness. The vulnerability makes them more relatable. In purva's case, she's matured to a point where there's no room for her character to grow. The reasons characters like the Little Mermaids, Aladin, Robinhood are liked by so many is because they all have quite a few flaws in them. Purva is the perfect wife, mother, sister, daughter, has the perfect life. You hardly ever see her arguing with even her husband (most wife and husband fight) I mean in real life, she'd be the ideal woman but *yawn* on tv it's just so boring. It wouldn't even be that bad if all the other sisters weren't all acting like her.

I'm really surprised about your great-aunt. I didn't know it was a common thing to marry your dead sister's husband. Do they still follow this practice in India?

There is a long story about my great-aunt which is interseting but a long story. So I cant be bother to explain lol. The answer to your question, up to my knowedgle it is still quite common in some areas and customs.
P.S I really love the old rebelious Askashi and hope she come back soon as I cant stand the new one.I'm gald Purva had sorted Karan out by showing the women's power.
