actually neema ben and her son went to return the baby themselves making up a story about how it was kidnapped and vishal ran after the kidnapper to save it.

and shyamal is the person who took smriti and the baby back home when she had a fit one night and left the house, he kinda saved her from some goons who were trying to steal from her

and if am not wrong, shyamal's family has been loyal servants to mihir and his family (except for shyamal)
