Sharad Malhotra's director, Inder, started getting lewd calls from Sharad's female fans after his cellphone number was flashed on an episode of Dulhann
Sharad Malhotra aka Sagar of Banoo Mein Teri Dulhann has a huge female fan following. So, when a number was flashed on his show as the actor's own number, his fans made a grab for it. It turned out that it was the director's number.
A source from the production house, Shakuntala films, says, "In Friday's episode, Sharad (Sagar) called Kamya Punjabi (Sindoora) from cell phone and that number flashed on Kamya's mobile. A close-up of the number caught the eye of the viewers and since then, girls have been calling up for Sharad on the number. Incidentally, Sharad was using his director Inder's cellphone."
The show's director, Inder, who gave his phone to Sharad is now bearing the brunt of it all. The phone has been ringing incessantly since Friday. Sharad's fans have been calling up on Inder's mobile and asking for him.
A friend of Inder says, "Some of these calls were suggestive even bordering on obscene. Inder is completely at his wit's end. "
When contacted, Inder Das, director of Banoo… says, "Yes, I have been getting calls from Kashmir and the UK. Girls call up thinking that I'm Sharad and ask me out for a date. Even though I tried telling them that it's not Sharad's number, they refuse to believe that I'm not Sharad."
