Celebration time for Dulhann (article)

The cast and crew of Banoo Main Teri Dulhann are on seventh heaven as the show just won a host of awards in the 7th Indian Telly Awards. The serial bagged awards for the best on screen couple of the year, best fresh new face - female (Divyanka Tripati), best daily serial and critic's award for the best male actor (Sharad Kelkhar).

It's all thanks to the good storyline, an excellent creative team and lots of hard work, say the Dulhann team.

The reason for the popularity of Banoo Main Teri Dulhan is its story. When the story of the show was read out to me, it had touched me deeply. The audiences had also felt freshness in the story when the show had started. The credit for the success of this show should also go to the director and producer. I feel that the success of any show does not depend on one thing but its credit should go to the entire cast and crew. I am happy that my first show got so many telly awards. I feel my hard work has paid off.

Neelima Bajpai (producer)

Everybody likes to watch this show because of their deep attachment with Vidya and Sagar, the lead characters. They are so deeply attached that if there is a fight in the show then the rating starts to fluctuate. The other characters of the show also have a close relationship with the audiences. This show getting a lot of telly awards has made us very happy. Frankly, we were not expecting any award. The viewers have showed so much confidence in us that now it has become our duty to do better. Now the story is going to get more interesting. Just wait and watch.

Divyanka Tripathi (actress)

The storyline of this show is the reason why Dulhann is the favourite soap for many. Unlike the other shows the story of this show evolves and is not stagnant. The second reason for its popularity is the star cast, from the child artistes to the servants; everyone has done justice to their roles. there is magnificent chemistry between all of us who are a part of this show. Along with the actors, the credit for the success of this show should also go to the creative director of the show Neelima Bajpayi. That I am happy to win the 'Best Actress' award is an understatement. but I am also aware that I have a greater responsibility now. I will try to do justice to the faith people have in me. I don't know how long I will be able to hold on the position, but i will try.
