The police said Balwant called there house, right. Yet Sindura always talks to the Balwant and Co via cell phone. They can't call the house, cause someone else could pick up. Plus Sindura could easily give an alias, like Vidya's name, so the home phone is no good. Obviously there is a contact number for Sindura since she seems to be talking quite a bit to the crew on the cell phone. Plus the police should be able to look at there cell phones and see the call records and catch Sindura in a heart beat that way, right?
