A Long Way To Go: Divyanka Tripathi |
The actress, who hails from Bhopal, had been travelling in rickshaws for the last one year.
€œI was quite used to travelling in rickshaws, but always wanted my own mode of transport. I finally bought a Hyundai Verna last month.€
Mahurat manners
The actress consulted her dadaji for a good date to make the purchase. €œMy grandfather was quite excited that I was buying myself a car and wanted everything to go well. He checked a good mahurat and I bought the vehicle as per the mahurat.€
Recently, there were rumours that she was unhappy as the serial€™s production house (Shakuntalam) refused to give her an increment. She clarifies, €œI think it€™s a minor issue. I know that they will give me my due. It will happen in due course of time.€
Great response
Apart from work, Divyanka had been to Pune recently. She was pleasantly surprised by the recognition she received. €œI had gone to meet some people through a local cable operator. I was taking calls from fans and answering questions.
There was this one particular guy who called and asked for my hand in marriage. He was not ready to hear what I had to say. It was really funny,€ says the actress.
Single at the moment, Divyanka says there isn€™t any time for love yet. €œI am happy to be single and working. I don€™t see myself settling down any time soon.€
