The last thing on my mind as I walked into Mr. Bhatt's class was English literature. I was about to see Tushar—and Sagar. Since late Saturday night I had been wondering how I would feel when I saw Tushar again. Maybe when we were in class—where my crush had developed into a four-year-long obsession---I would rediscover the magic. Maybe.

I walked into the classroom, scanning the desks. Almost immediately my eyes fell on Tushar. He glanced up and caught my eye. "Hey," He greeted me. Then he lowered his gaze.

"Hey." I continued past his desk and took a seat in the back of the classroom.

Sagar was still nowhere in sight, so I decided to use the last few minutes before the bell rang to dissect my reaction to Tushar. I closed my eyes, tuning out the sounds of scraping chairs, laughter, and rustling notebook pages.

I had seen Tushar. He had nodded and said hi. I had nodded and said hi. And that was it. There had been no lingering anxiety. My palms hadn't been sweaty, and my heart hadn't raced. I had felt neither happy that he had said hello nor unhappy that all he said was hello.

The truth was clear. I felt nothing for Tushar. Nada. Zip. Nil. Absolutely, positively, definitely nothing. My crush was over. The spark was dead.

It was as if a huge weight had been lifted from my shoulders. I was free! From now on I could roam the corridors of school without feeling compelled to be vigilant about searching for a Tushar sighting. I would no longer have a sick knot in the pit of my stomach when I heard a rumour about Tushar with another girl.
I opened my eyes just as Sagar was entering the classroom. Zing. Zing. Every nerve in my body felt charged with electricity as my eyes followed his easy walk.

I'm so not supposed to think about Sagar like that. He has a girlfriend, for crying out loud; who he loves. I'm not allowed to invade that....but what else do I do?

That's it. Pretty sure everyone's gonna get angry for how short it was! Lol....but please do leave comments nonetheless!
