Part 9
Recap: Rahul and Vidya go to meet Tushar and Chachi….Maya is kind of falling for Rahul. Sagar finally works up enough courage to go where Vidya is with Rahul and Tushar.
Sagar: to main sach mein jao?
Maya: kitni baar poochoge?? Just go!
Sagar slowly and stealthily walks up to Rahul and Vidya.
Sagar: kya baate chal rahi hain?
Rahul : oh hi Sagar….were you missing your beautiful wife? I know I wud….
Vidya: kya keh rahe ho Rahul?
Rahul: main to sirf itna keh raha tha ke tum itni khoobsurat ho ke tumhe Sagar yaad kar raha tha, aur agar tum meri biwi hoti, to main bhi…
Vidya hits his arm lightly, and Sagar narrows his eyes at the spot where Vidya hit Rahul's arm.
Sagar: vidya, tumhe dance karna hain??
Vidya: nahin….aapko agar karna hain to aap jaaye, Maya tayaar hongi aapke saath dance karne ke liye
Tushar: vidya, Sagar itne pyaar se keh raha hain, to jao na…
Vidya: nahin Tushar, humko Rahul ke saath dance karna hain…Rahul, tum karoge na mere saath?
Rahul looks between a glaring Sagar and a smiling innocent Vidya
Rahul: (gulps) haan…
Sagar: (thinks) who the hell does he think he is? Just taking my wife away like that! Main bhi uske dikha donga, ke main bhi hoon Sagar Pratap Singh!
Sagar angrily walks to where Maya is laughing and talking with Shalu
Sagar: (through gritted teeth) come with me!
Maya: (laughs) Sagar, kya hua, tumhare chera kyun itna laal laal hain? Kisi se jagra hua kya?
Sagar: just come with me!
He grabs her hand and takes her to the dance floor, and swings her around so she is facing him.
Maya: what the hel* has gotten into you? Why are you so upset?
Sagar (nudges her hand in the direction of Vidya and Rahul) look at them!
Maya: oh god, control your anger Sagar, they're just dancing, and anyways tumhe Vidya pe thora bhi barhoza nahin hain kya?
Sagar: hain na, Vidya pe, uss stupid Rahul pe nahin!
Maya: oh my god Sagar, you really need some anger management classes or something. I mean I know I love you, but darling, someone needs to control their possessiveness.
Sagar: you still love me, after all that happened?
Maya: agar nahin karti to yahaan aati kya? But don't think I love you in that way!
Sagar: I guess not, but god we were so stupid back in college.
Maya: (taps him on his shoulder) you were stupid, I wasn't!
Sagar: aacha? So when I kissed you in college for a stupid bet, and you created such a scene after, that wasn't stupid?
Maya: shut up!!! Agar koi anjaan ladka aake mujhe kiss karega, to obviously main scene create karogi! And I'm sorry, but what kinda person kisses a stranger for a bet?
Sagar: I don't know….I was stupid, but I really enjoyed that one and only kiss from you!
Maya: ugh Sagar, you're married, please can we not talk about that! You're sooo sick!
Sagar: arre baba, I'm joking!!! I love Vidya with all my heart, main kisi aur ke baare mein soch bhi nahin saktha!!!
Maya: I hated you when you did that to me, you're strictly my best friend and nothing else! And you know what? It's nice to hear you finally in actual love with someone, not your little one week kind of love! I know I'm acting like I'm deeply in love with you right now, but it's going to be hard to not actually fall in love with you!
Sagar: what? I'm shocked…..
Maya: don't be! I was joking! I'm def never ever gonna fall in love with you! It's so hard acting like I am!
Sagar: ssh keep it down, I don't want anyone hearing you!
Maya: who's gonna hear me anyways?
The scene shifts to Rahul and Vidya
Rahul: (thinks) I heard you!
Vidya: tumne kuch kaha?
Rahul: Nahin, lekin meri ek baat suno Vidya, Maya jo hain na, woh sirf Sagar ki aachi dost hain, aur kuch nahin…
Vidya: tumhe kaise pata? Humne unhe khud suna tha Maya ko "I love you" kehthe hua!
Rahul: woh sab ke natak hain!
Vidya: kya?
Rahul silently tells her everything he heard Maya say right now to Sagar, while not noticing that he was listening to their every word,
Maya: Sagar, stop dancing with me, and go dance with your wife!
Sagar: I think you're right…I can't be jealous of that idiot any longer, Vidya is my wife and she has to dance with me!
Maya: that's the attitude! Go for it!
The minute Sagar leaves…
Maya laughs: pitega!
Sagar: excuse me?
Rahul and Vidya stop dancing and turn to look at Sagar.
Sagar: kya main aapni patni ke saath dance kar saktha hoon?
Rahul: ya of course man, no need to ask…but there's only one problem…
Sagar: woh kya?
Rahul: main kiske saath dance karo?
Sagar: (thinks) chachi ke saath!
Sagar: tum…Maya ke saath dance karo…jao!
Rahul leaves Vidya and Sagar alone on the dance floor, and goes off to where Maya is standing,
Maya: Hi…
Rahul: hey….so I heard you're a pretty good actress?
Maya: actress? Nahin to, I'm a journalist…
Rahul: then how are you doing such a great job of acting in love with Sagar, when really you're in love with someone else!
Maya: woh…..woh…..to main…..tumhe kaise pata chala?
Rahul turns to face her and their faces are inches apart. He brings his right index finger up to her eyes.
Rahul: tumhare aankhon mein dikhta hain….
Maya: (breathlessly) kya?
Rahul: ke tum Sagar se nahin, kisi aur se pyar karti ho…
Maya: (snaps out of it) oh leave it Rahul…you're kind of full of yourself aren't you?
Rahul: and you're kinda in love with me aren't you?
Maya looks at him in shock: uhhh….whatever
Rahul: ok so no love, but still how about a dance?
Maya: you never stop do you?
Rahul: nope, but come on try me? I'm not such a bad dancer…
Maya smiles and accepts his offer and so they make their way to the dance floor.
Vidya: aap kyun aaye? Hume Rahul ke saath mazaa araha tha..
Sagar: pata hain, lekin agar hum dono dance nahin karte, to phir maa ko shakh ho jayega…
Vidya: kaise shakh?
Sagar: ke tum kisi aur se pyar karti ho…
Vidya: kya? Aap hamesha yehi baat le kar kyun aate hain? Aapko assa kyun lagta hain, ke hum kisi aur se pyar karte hain? Humne aap se kaha tha ke hum aapse pyar karte hain!
Sagar : tum saach ke rahi ho ?
Vidya looks down, trying to avoid eye contact.
Vidya: I….uhh…I…I uh loove you!
Sagar: really? Mere matlab saach?
Vidya makes a bold move and moves her hands from his hands to his neck, and he moves his to her waist.
Vidya: aur haan….wahaan dekho kya ho raha hain….
Sagar turns and looks and is totally surprised…
