Part 6
Recap : While Sagar and Vidya were getting close, one of Sagars old friends walked in, Maya. Now what will she do in the party??
Maya leaves Vidya and Sagar alone...
Vidya: aap jaaye na....aapki dost aapka intezaar kar rahi hogi...
Sagar: tum jal rahi ho?
Vidya: nahin to...hum bhale kyun jale?
Sagar: kyunki tum Tushar ke bina nahin reh sakthi...
Vidya: aacha? Kam se kam humko subhe sham angrezi mein to baat nahin karni parti!! Aapki woh madam ko to hindi aati hi nahin hogi!
Sagar: excuse me? Maya ko bahot aachi Hindi aati hain…aur usse French bhi aati hain....
Vidya: frunch?
Sagar: Vidya, Vidya, Vidya....tum nahin samjhogi…to koshish bhi maat karo..
Vidya: aap humko har baar aise hi keh dethe hain….humko aacha nahin lagta! Aap jaaye unke paas....hume aap akela chor dijiye!
Sagar: Vidya....(turns around in frustration) Arre, tum to ro pari...aaj ke din kamse kam nahin rona chaiyye...
Vidya: isme humari kya ghalati? Aap hi har baar humko rulate hain!
Sagar: aacha baba, sorry! (Holds his ears and does sits ups) Mujhe maaf nahin karogi?
Vidya: Kardiya…aap chale?
They both hold hands and walk down the stairs together, everyone starts clapping and saying how wonderful the two look together, aur kisi ki nazar na lage.
Maya: Sagar? I think you forgot...you owe me a dance...
Sagar: I forgot? How can I forget? Iski sazaa yaheen hain, ke main tumhare se puri raat dance karu!
Uma: Sagar, yeh kaun hain? Arre Maya beta? Tum kab aayi?
Maya : (touches her feet) Bas aunty aabhi abhi...
Vidya: Yeh to sabke saath ghul mil gayi hain....humari jaaga lene ki koshish zaroor karegi...
Aniket: Sagar? Vidya? Tum dono ka phela dance hain…
Vidya : hum? aur dance?
Sagar : ya jeeju....rehne do, main Maya ke saath hi dance karonga…
Uma: bilkul nahin…..aaj ka din Vidya ka hain…aur phela dance tum uske saath hi karna!
Sagar: (rolls his eyes, but then smiles) Chale my darling wife?
Vidya nervously nods
Sagar leads her out to center of the dance floor and the DJ starts the music, and the song Suraj Hua Maddham bellows out, and Sagar starts dancing, pulling Vidya along with him, who trys hard to follow and match his steps, and surprisingly she does well. By the time the long seven minute song ends, Vidya is resting her head on his shoulder and she feels startled by everyone around them clapping.
The DJ announces that now they will play a few more slow numbers and then the actual dancing will start.
Maya walks up to Sagar: hum chale? You owe me one dance you know?
Sagar: of course I remember...
He lets go of Vidya's hand, but her grasp is still tight on his hand, right as he looks at her face, he sees tears in her eyes,
Sagar: Maya, wait a sec...
Maya: not now, Sagar, this is all a part of my plan!
Sagar: plan? What plan?
Maya: tum chale to sahi, let's dance, and I'll explan everything to you as we dance.
Sagar leads her out to the floor and puts his right hand on her waist and pulls her closer, enjoying the green shade of jealousy taking over Vidya's face. Maya puts her left hand on his shoulder and they begin dancing...
Sagar: so kya plan hain?
Maya: suno aabhi baatati hoon...
