Why do you go around closing topics all the time? 😕

Just because two people posted an update (with ALL their hard work 😳) doesn't mean one should be closed.

Also, when someone opens a discussion that someone else has already been posted, you close it. I understand that this is to stop too many posts, but still 😕 People have feelings.... it could be a little better to say something nicer than people usually do, and not something like:

Already posted.

Topic closed.

Does that not sound rude?? 😕😕😕 Seriously.. so short and to the point, yet too mean sounding, don't you think? 😒 If the topic HAS to be closed, then couldn't we be a little nicer? Like, for example:

Sorry, but this topic has already been posted! Thanks for making it, but if you go to _________________(insert link here) you can see the other post. 😃😃

We hope you understand! 😉

Or something like that ^^😆

well it is againts the rules so when they r helped they dont need the topic anymore but when they r rude they make other ppl mad so no one wants that, its just not right ok so chill, maybe they will close the topic u just maid u r helped topic closed understand>>>>> 😆

I can understand where you're coming from but the mods are not trying to be rude. That's why there are some rules that all members need to follow. When any new articles are being posted, we have to make sure that they aren't already posted. Same with similar topics. If we follow the rules accordingly, there wouldn't be much reason for the mods to have to close the topics.

I'm not the mod for this forum but I can safely say on behalf of the dev. team that we never intend to offend anyone, its never personal. But when articles are repeated numerous times, we have members spamming etc. You can't expect us to write a justification each and every time. So please don't take it to heart, even Mods can and have their topics closed if they aren't relevant to the forum, including mine! 😉

As a side note, none of this was directed toward me, personally, but I have just been seeing it happening around here, and just wanted to give a suggestion.

Now, I did view something really unfair here, about a week ago that should never have happened.

Well, two people posted an update. However, the person who posted their's earlier had their topic closed instead of the one which was posted later. 😕

Now-- get this-- The person who closed the first update was the one who wrote the second one. Does that show that they only care about their own hard work? 😕😕

I'm not trying to put anyone down here, I just want to share what I saw.. 😳

No offense to that mod, but I didn't think it was very nice. Neither did the person who had their post closed.

In my opinion, yours was the one that should have been closed, because it was posted later. Either that, or none of the posts should have been closed.. please understand what I'm trying to say, and please don't take it to heart.

Who agrees that this person committed a mistake? I will not mention the mod's name, as that would only cause havoc.

Remember, I'm not trying to sound rude, just stating what went on.

By the way, I have nothing against that mod, because every human commits mistakes. I still think that this mod is a wonderful person with an amazing personality. 😳

Okay i know which topic your referring to so let me clear this misunderstanding for you😊.

If you look at the times (UK times),

by the other member: 7th March 9:46 pm

By the mod: 7th March 9:49 pm

What's the difference? of ONLY about 3 minutes.

When your typing the update, you don't know who is posting what. Think about it both started on the same time or may be a little earlier or later than each other but posting difference was only 3 minutes.

Why the topic was closed, well i can explain here. In each section there are different people appointed to do the written updates and videos. Now if a video or update is not posted then the member who is interested in updating should let the Moderator or the viewbie who is online at that time know and ask if they can do the udpate.

Once that member has the permission, I'm sure their topic won't be locked.😃 It's all to do with organising things. If the mod knows who is updating and wen then they can let the other member know as well so that there is no confusion.

Also, it's also to do with appreciating others work. A coolbie who is responsible to do the update takes their time out from thier regular life and does the udpate for us. Now put yourself in their place think, you update the serial and then after 3 minutes you see someone else has already updated it. How would you feel? sad, dishearted? The topics are closed so that, that member knows that s/he needs to take permission before updating the show.

I hope that clears the misunderstanding. I would request you to PM the Moderator of this section and talk it out through PM with them. I'm sure that would make a lot of sense and you'll understand the whole point behind closing a topic.😃
