Into My Brain Waves...Character of the day!
Thakurayan/Maa ji: Is a tender hearted person who is very nurturant and forgiving. She loves her child Sagar tremendously, yet the lack of courage inside of her incapacitates her to stand up for him..For example, when her son was walking on the edge of a terrace that was three stories high, she couldn't do anything...Here's where her character contradicts itself...On one end, she vows to always support her daughter-in-law and as if holy water has blessed her heart, she dares to verbally utter that her belief and trust in her daughter-in-law is everlasting, yet when circle of terrible hullabaloo encircles Vidya, her trust flies off the roof top and invites mistrust into her so called elongated trust...
When the snaky Dracula first placed her unluckiness into the household oh what a grand welcome she was given...Cold, bitter words, daggering looks and mouthful of humiliation this displays just some of the inconveniences, irritability and disaster the whole household suspected the snaky Dracula would bring in...yet in she comes with plastic tears and an innocent child as an exterior covering up her real interiors, and they fall for it...Gone with the wind are previous tribulations caused by her and expected of her...Is this lady people blind or Malevolence blind? When her daughter-in-law is conveniently caught in a web of suspected bad things, then why this exception to a woman who is not even related to her? She doesn't possess the ability to forgive Vidya no matter what she says in her defense, yet she so easily places trust in the snake?
No matter what she does, I will say one thing to her: "Truth is incontrovertible, malice may attack it and ignorance may deride it, but, in the end, there it is." - By Sir Winston Churchill
I really like the actor playing maaji's role...in fact her face displays such gentility that witnessing her spineless character really spoils it for me...She is such a talented actor, yet her character puts me off entirely...Look at her role in Jassi and now at BMTD???
Bear with my sweeties, I know this analysis is turning out to be extremely long and unexaggeratedly boring, but trust me it would've been worse, because I was actually thinking of analyzing every single main character in BMTD, you can now just imagine how that would've been!
Nevertheless, even with her nauseating dose of unrealistic portrayal of superlative trust, she stole the show today!
Do tell me your views? Was I too harsh on her?
Keep smiling..
Love
