Hi guys.....am not much of a writer...just felt like putting together a story on SV..so here it is.....please do read it if possible...
~~ : A day in the office :~~
Part 1
She sat there reclining on chair....twirling the pen n contemplating the picture on the wall....not that the picture could provide any sudden inspiration to her.....she needed to get the concept on ad campaign ready anyhow by tonight or her boss would quiet literally have her head......
The very thought of her boss made her sit up.......that obnoxious man...who was more busy throwing his weight around than inspiring others to work....whosoever made this man a manager needed to get his head checked atleast for a couple of cracks......Vidya smiled at her strange sense of humour.....in a distance she heard the bellowing of her tormentor calling her name with all his lung power......sighing Vidya pushed away from the desk and walked towards her boss's cabin bearing the name "Samrat Gupta".
It was fate's irony that a man having the name Samrat.....should resemble more to a rat in his apperance with the unhappy trait of making others work and taking the credit himself......
Whatever....thought Vidya...whether she liked it or not....she was stuck here with a moron as her boss.....
Beseeching the gods to be merciful on her today.....she drew a deep breath and entered her boss's cabin which seemed akin to a dragon's lair to her....
The sight which awaited her held her stock still for a moment.....the rat king Samrat was stuttering in front of somebody...which in itself was a sight to see.Now that is interesting thought Vidya......she softly cleared her throat to let the occupants know of her presence....on realising that that he had a ready presy in Vidya...Samrat started blaming her of inefficiency.The speed and intensity of Samrat's attack took her by surprise....of all the things she hadn't expected this...
Suddenly someone's clear voice rang through the room.....
"That is quiet enough Mr.Gupta"
A man standing there with his back towards them....Samrat's tirade had forced to call a halt to the unhappy scene in the cabin....
Sagar turned towards the other two people in the room.....his eyes immediately went towards the girl standing there clutching a notepad and a pen like a shield and staring at Gupta with a confused expression on her face.....
Not that it was her fault.....anyone having to bear Gupta's idiotic speeches would be confused enough....Sagar had not realised that he had actually been staring at Vidya....
Samrat turned towards Sagar and introduced Vidya to him...
"Sir,this is Miss Vidya Malhotra"
This brought Sagar out of his reverie....so this was Vidya....he had heard from his staff that she was a very creative and successful ad campaigner for the company....what he could not make out was how an insufferable man like Gupta managed to be her boss and now accusing her.....
Vidya was dumbstruck by sight of the man who had silenced Samrat so effectively.....he had an aura of authority around....no wonder Samarat was so flustered....so this was the owner of this company....so much for a wonderful first impression....
When one needed a knight in shining armour.....he needn't have turned out to be her boss's boss.....
Steeling herself for yet another round of baseless arguments....she opened her mouth..to shut it just as soon....
Samrat was getting torn into shreds by Sagar.....but he didn't realise it.
Sagar was wondering who had actually hired this man.....moreover he seemed to drive his employees to desperation from what he had heard and judging from Vidya's expression that was thought written all over her face...
That girl seemed quiet interesting.....a dinner date would be good...
Having taken Samrat to task...Sagar decided on taking Vidya out of the room...
"Excuse me,Miss Vidya....could u spare me a moment please"
Sagar and Vidya left with Samrat grappling with the after effects of Sagar's presence...
Once out of the room....Sagar gave a quick hug to Vidya.....
"I don't believe it....its been quiet long since we met"
Vidya still couldn't believe her friend Sagar had turned out to be the owner of Newlight Communication
"Great to see u Sagar...i never knew u were the owner of this company"
"Actually its my uncle's firm...he asked me to take it over...so here i am....by-the-way...i hav heard you are a whiz with managing people like Gupta....so what do you say we meet over dinner and you could give me a tip or two to handle him"
Giving a light laugh Vidya looked at Sagar
"Yes,sir.....afterall you are the boss"
Vidya walked back to her desk with a big grin in her face and Sagar ambled down the corridor whistling happily...
So?What do u guys think......it ended kinda lamely...not the way i thought...
