Divya comes back home after Amar doesnt show up for their little date.

Amar's POV:

"Divya! I was just waiting for you. I'm so sorry I-", she marched furiously passed me before I could continue.

I was stunned by the intensity of her anger when her shoulder struck mine, pushing me out of her way.

"Divya! Divya!" I called out again. But my voice only helped to speed her up.

I ran after her to her room where she raced to slam the door on me. I stopped it in time and pushed it back open, she'd gone and collapsed onto the bed. I could hear her sniffing.

I kept a gentle hand on her back. "I know you're upset. But please give me a chance to explain..."

She shrugged my hand away ruthlessly, sat up and glared at me; her eyes teary and wild with fury.

"What are you going to explain?" she demanded. "I don't want to hear your excuses. Just leave me alone!"

I advanced towards her. "But Div-". She held up the stop sign and hissed, "Leave".

I turned to walk out.

"I don't understand", she suddenly began. "What have I done to you? Why do you want to kill me?" she sobbed.

She had lost the plot. KILL her? Where the hell did that come from?

"What are you saying, Divya?"

"Look, if you want me out of your life then just say it. I'll quietly pack my bags and go away. But please, don't put up this act and hurt me".

Her words crushed my poor heart into several tiny pieces. All this time, my tears, my emotions, my words...all that was an act for her? It was all fake?

I just left then, having nothing to say to her. I went and slumped down beside Diya's cot, who was now soundly asleep. Far ahead a red colored photo album sitting in a corner of the book shelf caught my eye.

The album was in such a mess that when I opened it several photos fell and scattered across the room. I looked through the remaining photos. They were of the Valentines Day party, moments before Divya's accident. In one picture we were hugging each other tightly, my chin resting on her head, eyes closed, swaying to the music in the candle lit hall.

I lost myself so deeply into the photo that I jumped when I suddenly saw Divya standing over Diya's cot. Her eyes flickered rapidly between me and a photo she was holding. I walked over to her.

"What happened?"

She held up the photo to show me. It was her, standing with her hand on her stomach when she was pregnant with Diya. I remember taking this one myself. She'd never looked happier.

Shocked and confused, she stabbed the photo with her finger and then pointed to Diya. I nodded quickly, confirming a 'yes'. She looked back at Diya in disbelief, and then to me again with tears in her eyes.

"I'm so sorry...'", she whispered.
