Reemz I understand what you're saying, but I think perhaps you misspoke and people are misunderstanding you.
I know I'll get tomatoes pelted at me, but I think this says more about the fans than about Gauri's character or Anisha. There is no reason to hate either one of them, and while I can understand loving the AD relationship, I think many folks here are unreasonable about it. The amount of hate I have seen directed at Gauri/Anisha is something I could never understand, but never paid much attention to it because it doesn't really matter in the end--after all these are fictional characters. I don't think Anisha need be taught any kind of lesson. She got the opportunity to play a role in a popular serial like this, and she took it, and it certainly isn't her fault or the creator's fault that things ended up this way. It's the irrational fanatacism of the viewers. I'm not saying the Gauri track was good by any stretch--I stopped watching in part because of that. But I don't see it as being a problem with her character--it's a problem with the story itself.
But today when I saw people saying she (Gauri) deserves to be raped, I was seriously shocked and very offended. If there is frustration with her character fine, but that is a dreadful thing to say and shows gross insensitivity to all the women out there who HAVE been raped. No one deserves to be raped. Period.
