Hello, people of Bandini-land! Come out, come out, wherever you are! 🤗
Ammoos and Nikita are away for the day and so it is I, Bumtrinket here today with your written update. Sucks for them because it's a DM-centric episode. 😆
This is my first time doing this thing, so please excuse if it's not up to the usual standard. 😳
Okay, here's what happened -
Part 1 - Khemi the Elder Idiot is cooking something she's about to burn in another minute, when Monghi the Younger Idiot comes in with a sulky face and makes off with a tiffin. Apparently, if you invite Monghi for a party, she'll just move into your house. DM, please note.
Khemi wants to know why Monghi is so sad and Monghi the idiot says she can't forget Sarang, her first true love. 🤢 She says if he'd done something bad, maybe she could have dismissed him as a mistake but her heart knows he's not happy with his marriage either. She also can't forget Santu's sudden love for Birwa.
Khemi tells her the best plan is to forget it and says the entire household knows Birwa is the one behind the whole wedding but it's useless to expect anything decent from someone as cold hearted and awful as Birwa. The more Monghi will think about this, the worse she will feel.
Santu the Elder Tyaagini comes there and overhears her sisters talking about Birwa the Younger Tyaagini. She tells them it's wrong to judge someone without knowing the whole story. Khemi asks her whats the story then and she says she can't say anything. 😆 Monghi is mad that Santu would side with a woman who has never done anything other than insult her since she came back from jail and ruined her sister's happiness and leaves.
Then DM walks in! Hiten and Shanky greet him at the door and he's happy to see them. He sees Monghi setting off for the factory and tells her she still has time and then asks Monghi and Hiten to look over some papers of whatever business he was upto in Vadodara. Santu comes there and is happy to see him. DM is rude to her and everybody standing around looks awkward.
Sarang comes and tries to kiss up to DM. DM flat out ignores him while Santu sends him death rays with her eyes. Sarang looks at Moti, the only one interested in looking back at him, and she signals that it's okay and she'll handle it.
Nandini comes downstairs to meet DM who finds out she has a fever and scolds her parents for not taking proper care of her. Moti cribs that nobody in this house cares for anybody else while Hiten calls for a doctor. The doctor tells them to relax as it's just a bug that's been going around. Kaddu scolds Nandini for not listening to her and acting naughty. Nandini finds her funny and so does Shanky. Kaddu is cute-mad at both of them and the three of them share a moment on Nandini's bed.
DM is watching from outside and is happy to see them act like a couple and like parents.
He goes to Baa, who's come back from a pilgrimage. She gives him prasad and says she prayed that he and Santu would always be together. 👍🏼 DM's face changes and he asks her if she thinks Santu killed Arjan. Baa says he knows just as much as anyone else save Santu but there's definitely more to the story. She reminds him, however, of all the good Santu has done for their family and says she can't believe a woman like that could murder.
DM agrees that there's something more to it but is frustrated that Santu won't tell him. He says he can't live his life with a murderer. He says he can't live with her and he can't live without her. Baa says that is definitely a problem but trust in god. Truth will always come out.
DM then says he came there to tell her about Shanky and Kaddu and how they're coming closer to each other. Baa says he should call Shanky's parents and get them married again. DM says he needs to talk to Kaddu first because his daughter can't make up her mind.
DM sees Champu dragging a suitcase about and finds out Moti is going to Ahmedabad. He goes up to her and tries to convince her to send Hiten or Suraj instead because she just got back from Bangalore and must be tired. She says no, it's something she needs to do. He wants to know whay. She tells him she's going there to get him divorced. DM is shocked.
Part 2 - DM is shocked and wants to know where this talk of a divorce came up. Moti says he's the one who brought it up the day Santu walked in with a POA. 😆 She reminds him how angry he was when Santu went against the wishes of the entire family and took over as maalkin. Now a divorce is the only way he can break the POA because it rests on their relationship. No Sanraj, no POA.
DM reminds Moti of all the good Santu did for the house. She saved Toral's baby, sent Maulik and Sandy to jail before they could bring more dishonor on the family, saved Kaddu and Nandini from Sandy, joined Shanky and Kaddu back together so Nandini could have a father again.
Moti reminds him of all the bad things Santu did - all of which go back to her murdering Arjan. She says Santu took away Krishna's father if she gave Nandini back her father and she took away Khemi's husband if she gave Kaddu back her husband. She saved Toral's baby but she killed a son of the house. She sent Maulik to prison before he could destroy the family name but she herself just came from prison. Etc, etc. (It's a long speech and I love it when RR and Rasika face off against each other.)
DM says Santu paid for her crime by spending 10 years in prison. Moti says she's not the only one who had to pay for her crime. DM also punished himself and she can't return those years to him when he ignored his own children. DM asks her to let it go and forget the past because it can never come back again.
Moti says she can't believe this is the same DM speaking who was always so interested in justice. She says if he doesnt get rid of Santu then he'll be doing injustice to Subhadra, Khemi and Krishna. She says she's his elder sister and she won't stand by and watch anyone hurt him or his family no matter what. She's going to Ahmedabad to get the papers ready and that's that.
Part 3 - Santu is making tea for DM and refuses to let Champu do it. Champu asks her about her fight with him before he left for Vadodara. Santu says she hasn't had a chance to make up with him and they smile about her taking him tea to make up.
Santu accidentally knocks over some milk and is worried about the ill omen. Champu consoles her that it was an accident and sends her off.
DM is walking in slow motion and thinking about all the things Moti said especially about the injustice done to Subhadra. He remembers Santu's answer from when he asked her about the truth that she's gone very far ahead in life from 10 years ago. He walks into his room and firmly closes the door.
