Bandini is her shows and she can make it in any other Indian language she wish to. But where is the torturing here. There are so many who wish to watch the show but dont understand the language and she is remaking it for those people

As Uma says and i also say, "whats all the mayhem for"? Much ado about something!
Balaji telefilms produces in many languages and just like movies get remade into several languages, so do successful serials.
I do not see anything wrong in it especially if it caters to the local flavour, language of the masses and manages to get good TRPs.
I will also not compare the actors/actresses in the lead roles because i feel every one has his or own value, appeal and fan following. I do not agree with passing derogatory comments about the leading man. He may have his own advantages like RR does and i will on this only applaud Ekta on her business sense. A successful serial can make money for her especially if it is appreciated by the viewers.
Well done Ekta!

Agree with u chalia. Ekta knows she has a winner in her hands with this serial & an astute business woman like her will make hay while the sun shines by reusing the formula as much as she can. As I said earlier forget regional remakes even her other hindi serial on colors is a total distorted rehash ( most unwatchable)of bandini. 😭

Hi all😊
You guys are rocking😊
Its not Ekta's first attempt in south Indian languages
She was doing it from her first venture .she did in most of the languages with a slight story change.(i.e; according to regional beliefs)
so no one can help in itπŸ˜‰

Yes. I think bandini theme itself has some magic in it. as many of the balaji telefilms shows are being remade into various regional languages[(like pavithr bandham, raktha sambandham, kalyanee etc,) from the past 10-15 years ,this was also remade from hindi. the result is , to put it in one word,
just overwhelming.

Being aired as one of the prime time shows at 7 pm mon-fri on Gemini tv.almost the plot is same as in hindi with a few exceptions.
β€’ The one major change is that, santuri (called as kasturi) is taru's own daughter who is abandoned by her mother just after she was born.
β€’ Santu gets married in the same runaway bridegroom situation to taru's brother(satya prakash aka DM).
β€’ No one (except the viewers of course ) knows the secret till date.
β€’ DM's character is portrayed,as prudent ,as stubborn and as charismatic as ever except that he is a 30 + widower .he loses his parents and he with his late wife raised his two younger brothers and a sister on par with his own kids.(he has 2 kids a teenaged girl and a younger boy.)
β€’ The story progressed till meghana's entry and the lead pair whose marriage was out of a situation ,act like husband and wife in front of meghana.by the way meghana was there to marry her younger bro to DM's sister and the rest you can guess.

I am glad that remake of bandini is also doing well but to say the truth the show is yet to gain its full momentum and is all set to rock.Yes bandini rocks whatever is the language

here iam adding a synopsisof the show. .: Kotha Bangaaram :.

[B]SYNOPSIS
Sathyaprakash is a widower and a renowned textile business owner. He faces tough competition from his wife's brother and due to this he undergoes several professional challenges at work. He respects and adores Gopaiah, a fine technician in textile grafting, the backbone of their weaving factory set in the nearby village. Though Gopaiah is poor, his affection for his three grand children is commendable. Due to the rivalry of the riches, the co-brothers, a crucial situation arises at Gopaiah's house. When his grandchild kasthuri was about to be married, Prasad Rao threatens the bridegroom and make him run away in the last minute. Hence he creates an extra-ordinary situation in the poor man's life. The whole factory in the village comes to a standstill because of this. To save the pride of his favorite worker and to retain his own position in the business, satyaprakash opts to tie the knot to kasthuri. Hence the poor village girl Kasthuri enters his palatial bungalow in Hyderabad as the rightful daughter-in-law.
The household is furnished with affluence where she is scorned upon and ill-treated by Sathyaprakash's siblings and in-laws. Slowly she wins the hearts of each of the family members through her virtues like care, concern, humility and considerate nature.
However hard she may try she finds it next to impossible to make a mark on her sister-in-law Kavitha. Kavitha is simply not able to hand over the reins of the authority she had exerted on the household for so many years just like that to Kasthuri. She exerts power and dictates every move of Kasthuri at all times and in essences reduces her to the level of a mere house maid.
Although Satyaprakash marries her, he refuses to let Kasthuri take her rightful place in his heart.
Kasthuri who loves her sisters dearly comes to the point of even sacrificing her marriage for the sake of her eldest sister Thulasi. Kavitha creates a situation where if Thulasi and Kasthuri's younger brother-in-law have to get married, she has to step down from the post of daughter-in-law of the house. At one point, kasthuri even goes to the extent of agreeing to a divorce.
Did Kasthuri reap the benefits of her sacrifices and her caring nature which stops her from doing anything against others? Did her stormy marriage alight upon placid shores? What is the kind of life she leads fighting against the odds in her tumultuous life? How is kasthuri going to change Sathyaprakash who refuses to forget his first wife? How is she going to turn his attention towards her? How is she going to safely reach the shores of this tumultuous challenge she has accepted solely for the sake of her family? How is she going to raise herself from the lowly, illiterate, poor, village bred woman to that of the level of a respectable house wife of such a palatial household? How is she going to tackle the problems she faces through the haughty members of Sathyaprakash's family?
Let us find out all this more in the heart rending saga of a woman who manages to emerge victorious despite all odds. Stay tuned to "Kotha bangaaram" for all the action.

oh sorry ! i dont know about that.to clarify, here in south, almost in many families one can marry his own elder sister's daughter (menakodalu) provided the age gap is justified..yes it is true that they are blood related but such marriage is permitted . however this being a consanguinous marriage of first degree this sort of marriage is not advisedin some communities. hope iclarified it.

thanks.
