Bandini has similarities with the movie Mudhal Mariyathai, which means first respect.
the story is abt a young girl from a lower caste who falls in love with village leader from a higher caste in a loveless marriage (the leader married his wife to save her reputation to repay her father). The leader raises the child as his own daughter. So the young girl and leader start off as friends but they trully fall in love, the wife comes to know and gets angry at the young girl. They fall in love through mutual respect for each other. The leader admires her maturity and she admires his wisdom.
Then the girl decides to leave but when she wants to leave, the guy who impregnated the leader's wife comes back. The guy wants to claim his child n ruin the reputation of the well respected village leader n his family by revealing the truth. The young girl then kills him to save the leader's reputation. The leader comes to know n asks her why she did it. She tells him it was to save his respect. She asks him if ever loved her n the leader says he loves her.
then after she serves her punishment, she comes to see the leader on his death bed. they have a moment. then the leader dies n so does the girl.
it is a beautiful love story set in a rural backdrop with great songs. very touching story.

no leading ladies of Ekta ever attain happiness, they are short lived.
It's ekta's calling card.🤢

Thx Fuzzy,
Now just i have one hope that, Ektha is not going to copy the murder and punishment part from this movie
I will pray the god for the same (This time god means truely god only not cv's. i am not going to expect any thing from dumb\dufford\stupid\brainless CV's)

@ leena CVs are quite predictable most of the time just not the timing.
@vidya names for CVs hmm let's see they're as talented as Tina Fey of 30 Rock especially when it comes to originality.
so i am thinking....we shld call them the Asli for their originality.

When I said I want DM to pine for Santu,it was not in this sense.I just wanted a plain simple love story with no grossness.Dont get how RR thought we would like this.I dont want another depressing bout of tears and then some monologue with a different portrait.

I just wanted to see something simple, and cute as in out stories.Yucky makers!

Exactly.. how he thought that.. or he also is thinking the CVs way😭
