Bandini has changed . It is not the same The subtlety and decorum has given way to crass. What is this constant discussion of Santu and Dharamraj having a child. He is old enough to be a grandpa and is on the way to become one and Santu is younger than his own daughter. Please stop all this. Try and rise above the waist. Don't let your standard fall so much. You are giving wrong signals and setting a bad example to society. Lagna na geet lagne gavaay meanig you sing wedding songs at weddings not out of turn. Come on Ba BApu Motiben Rasik Meghna Saumilbhai Nanji explain to Dharamraj I don't look forward to Bandini any more. The creatives could have brought about twists without this constant discussion about Dharamraj producing a kid at this age .

I have a slightly different opinion here.
1. It has never been DM or Santu who have ever broached the subject of having children except in jest (when bird poo fell on his kurta). It is Maulik who is poisoning Arjan and Khemi about "rights" of unborn and even unconceived children.
2. And even if DM and Santu choose to have children, i do not see a problem here. They are married and the decision is entirely theirs. It is not for Saumil bhai, Meghna and Rasik to interfere with their opinions about pregnancy.
3. In these times, age is no barrier for having children. There is nothing shameful if the couple is interested and committed to assume the responsibility. I have personally seen mothers and daughters delivering together in the labour room especially in the rural set up.
Sorry to disagree but it is my honest opinion.

Although I agree that Bandini has changed....it is losing it's simplicity....it was supposed to be a simple story about how a mismatched couple change an unwanted relationship into an unbreakable bond....and not about murder and mayhem. But I don't agree with the rest of the statement. Santu and DM are a married couple, in love with each other and in natural progression of things, children come next and it doesn't matter how old they are or how many kids/grandkids either of them have.....if they decide to have a child, I don't see any problem with that and it is no one's business but theirs and nobody should be bothered by it......if DM's family(most of them anyways) has wholeheartedly accepted DM and Santu's relationship, I see no problem in any of then having problems with them having kids, they should have expected it.

Thanks Chalia for the wonderful reply. I have something to say too. People over 40 are not "old." 80 is old and not 50. I do not know how it is in India but in the western world, where I live, it is A-ok for people to marry late (yes even older men marrying much younger women). Heck, Clint Eastwood married at over 65 to a woman in her 20s or something like that and he had children with her. Why, even women marry younger men and have children. Look at Demi Moore! She was 42 when she got married to Aston Kutcher was 27!!!!!!

Personally, I don't think there is anything to be ashamed of if an man and a woman (over the legal age limit) decide to have a consensual physical relationship. Santu and D are husband and wife, above the age limit, and are having a physical relationship after mutual consent. What is there to be ashamed of in a husband and wife having a physical relationship and wanting to have children? I think it is time to come into the 21 century.

We don't need to go to the western world, it happens even in India and not only in rural society.....lets take the example of Bollywood -- Salman Khan in his 40s is dating Katrina who is in her 20s, Aamir Khan married someone much younger. And these are actors who are pretty close to DM's age, so is RR for that matter, we don't call them old....I really don't understand this fixation with DM's age and why people don't expect him to have a regular marriage because of it.

I agree on the part of how the show no longer holds the essence of its originality.
Too many yucky plots have been thrown in. It's supposed to be a simple family story abt a mis matched couple and their family.
Ever since they started the whole Ana track it has been awful.
but having said that give me Ana anytime instead of this bacteria. They cld have turn the abusive jealous hubby story around instead of making him into an axe murderer. The age gap and child bearing are relevant issues pertaining to the couple, so it is fine. They can have children or not, it's up to them.
But Now they are hell bent on making everyone a murderer, creepo, evil and etc.
Hello excuse me Ekta n team what the hell happened to the show formerly know as Bandini?😕

Nowadays 50 is considered young and there is absolutely nothing wrong with having a baby at this age especially for a man. Santu is young and she should have her own child if they both wish it. Older men have babies in India especially if they marry for the second time which is also the case for DM. So all things considered, SanRaj has the ok from most of us.

Happy to see you here again Khal! I totally agree with you that the marital bed should be kept active for as long as the couple is interested. And DM was quite specific when he once said that "he does not consider himself unable in any way". It was sometime during the Anamika track i think.
So to put it all together, its this backward thinking of 50 being old that sends men away from their wives into the beds of other younger women.

I like the wink!
DM can take on a younger man any day. Thats why he still holds the respect of the youngsters in and outside of the mansion.
