Shalu, very good post dear. You have given hope to everybody about DM before some of the girls from this forum hit him with a chappal for mistreating our Santu😆

well, the chappal is still in my hands.

Shalu,in short, you are saying that DM was always like this,so he will remain like this,we have forgiven him,so we will always keep on doing that?

Hmm,there is always a first. 😉

Have you? Why? How can you forgive him all of the things he did previously? They weren't motivated by any intense emotion or reaction - they were due to his being an inhumane person. To treat someone who has done you no wrong that horrendously is a mark of a really repulsive person. He has never apologised, has done stupidly small unintentional gestures (the way everyone swooned when he looks at her or gives her a hug like his pet cat makes we want to pull my hair out). When has he ever apologised for everything he has done? When has he shown he really loves her? When has he ever shown value for her as a person in her own right and not cos she been throwing herself on the sacrificial altar left right and centre for him?

CAN ANYONE POINT TO A SINGLE SCENE WHERE YOU CAN SEE HIS APPRECIATION OF HER AS A HUMAN BEING IN HER OWN RIGHT?

I couldn't believe she agreed to marry him again and for me the whole ceremony, romantic episodes after and the SR were vomit inducing. I'm sick to death of every being like 'ok look, she's from a village, she doesn't know any better, she's a child' but then 'she's being wise beyond her years and has mystical -proportions of insight and is the most wonderful person ever in existence'. If she was a relative i would be ashamed of her hysterics.

In comparison in KS (this is only to illustrate a point Soap-Critic) the pair fell in love with each other as people (with all their faults and charms) while maintaining their integrity and self respect. There were real emotions.
DM DOES NOT NOR HAS HE EVER LOVED SANTU AS A PERSON. SANTU IS OBSESSED BEYOND ALL NORMAL REASON OUT OF AN INFANTILE CRUSH.

The creatives have salughtered this story beyond all limits - i thought with the divorce they would pull it out of the bag, make him realised her value as a person and her that she needed to fight for what was right. what did we get? She displayed no self-respect (living in his house as what? his personal bitch?) is constantly thrown in his face with no regard for her feelings (dressing her up as a dead woman and getting her to dance for him) and he accepts her only so she won't kill herself.

I officially give up. I stopped watching a few weeks back. If she gets a spine and stops crying i could stomach watching it again so could someone let me know when that happens. thanks. x

What I am trying to say is DM's reaction shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone....he has always been like this, hot-headed, angry, arrogant, prone to react before thinking things through.....yet we like him because he has his good qualities as well. If we didn't like DM he and/or Bandini wouldn't be as popular and most of us wouldn't be rooting for SanRaj......don't most of us feel that if not for SanRaj, we wouldn't be watching Bandini coz there wouldn't be anything to watch. I have heard people say on this forum that CVs have ruined DM's character and I don't see how.....DM has reacted exactly as they have established his character from day one. He has been far harsher and unfair to Santu in the past and for no fault of hers, at least now he had a reason for being angry at her....and if that didn't ruin his character, how could something like this. If we really disliked DM and hadn't forgiven him for his past treatment of Santu, would we really have been watching their romantic scenes over and over again and waiting eagerly for their SR and HM as we did the last few weeks. If we forgave him for all that, why do we think we won't forgive him for this. And how about our reactions to DM's treatment of Santu....we blame DM for lashing out at Santu when he was angry and what are we doing, aren't we lashing out at DM because of what he said to Santu....and some of things we said about DM are rather harsh as well....so why hold DM to higher standards that we hold ourselves.

Well, Shalu, I agree with your thoughtful analysis. DM is a humanbeing, whether he is maalik or a family man. This secret is very close to his heart. His son died, and he never knew about it. The most trusted person in his life at the time, Subhi hid that fact. As soon as that happened both Moti and Subhi should have confessed regardless of the consequences. Both of them swept that news under the rug. DM has to absorb that in to his head before he can forgive.

But I do agree that he is totally wrong about punishing Santu. She was thrown in to the situation and it was not her secret to tell. He has to get that in his head too.
